The week day happy hour is a real bargain. Unfortunately, it can only be enjoyed in the bar. Patio dining is for regular service only. Lots of drink and food choices for just $6. A bellini costs $6 as do 2 different types of pizza that regularly cost $15 or more. Lots of other $6 choices. A real bargain for... More

Great, authentic Italian pizza, nice seasonal menu and good wine made for a great meal. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great evening.

This restaurant is a good Italian restaurant but a little pricey. I love the ambience and the food is good but not extraordinary taste. It will not be my first choice for an Italian restaurant.

Our party of 6 had a business dinner at Il Fornaio last night. We enjoyed several bottles of great wine, very good food and excellent service from our server, Sven. My pasta was really good and I love their bread. Others enjoyed their dinners ranging from fresh fish to other pasta dishes. It was a good evening.

We recently went to Il Fornaio for happy hour, and were pleasantly surprised by the food and cocktail offerings. Though it is a bit limited for food choices, there is a good variety of choices for any appetite. I recommend any of the pizza's or the calamari as potential options. For cocktails, they make a great lemon drop, with just... More

You read that they have restos in Italy at the entrance, so you would think they make uncompromising Italian food, and it's not the case. They compromise with the American taste, and therefore the food is acceptable, but not good

The restaurant was very busy due to it being Christmas week and we had two small children with us. The food was good as usual and served in a reasonable amount of time given the season. Our table was ready for us on time. The waiter was very professional.

Located in the heart of the Walnut Creek shopping district, this restaurant has been consistently good to/for us over the past 5-8 years. Every time we visit WC, we stop in for either lunch or dinner, or simply a glass of wine. Lunch can be packed in high season, so plan ahead.

Il Fornaio offers delicious authentic Italian cuisine from their main menu and on their regional menu highlighting cuisine from different regions in Italy each month. As Walnut Creek locals, we have eaten in the restaurant or have ordered food to go at least once a month for the past several years. We never get tired of the menu because it... More

Following a few initial hiccups on a busy night, the manager Steve took things into his own hands to personally take care of our family. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable dinner with exceptional service during my wife's birthday. Will definitely return.
