Small Menu, but everything was excellent. Good Service and a unique ambiance that we really enjoyed. Will definitely be back.

Stopped here on a drive up to Lake Berryessa. Had never even heard of Winters before... What a cute quaint town! I was solo so I sat at the bar. The atmosphere was very nice... Super clean and funky. Had a glass of rose and...More

Stumbled upon this restaurant after realizing the place we wanted to eat at only serves dinner. So glad it happened this way. This place looks great and has the food to match. Plus tons of interesting beer on tap. Had the Jalapeño Jelly appetizer. OMG...More

We always enjoy the food at The Preserve, and this visit was no exception. However, for no apparent reason, our party of three was asked to wait 5-10 minutes before being seated. There were numerous unreserved tables and what seemed like plenty of wait staff,...More

Another good visit to Preserve. An expected very busy day at Preserve with plenty of large groups. We had a large group reservation and though service was not fast, the staff were good and all the food for the group came out at the same...More

The food here is good. I like the atmosphere of the place. In sum, it has a lot going for it. However, good food and a nice atmosphere do not a restaurant make. First of all, the staff seems stretched miserably thin. I don't know...More

Preserve has a very cool vibe and has a great atmosphere . The food is very edgy for a pub venue and changes with the seasons. The mixologists are spot on. Danny makes the very best old fasion i have tasted ! It will leave...More

Limited menu of primarily "bar-type" offerings. Had very good leek soup with very good bread side. Fun place to go for lunch with friends. Informal bar type atmosphere, but certainly okay for families. Seating is not particularly comfortable. Service staff appears to be a little...More

I'm hesitant to give this place two stars because it's always been a favorite of mine and the food is absolutely delicious. However, the service has been going downhill lately and my last visit honestly killed any desire to return. I was out with my...More

The menu is very small, but there are enough of a variety that one should be able to find something interesting to eat. The samplers pairings of cheese and jams were good. Our favorite turned out to me a jalapeño jam. It smelled spicey but...More

Preserve Public House is a dynamic addition to historic downtown Winters. We look to preserve and promote the story of self reliance and sustainability through food and drink. Well placed grains of salt give way to cured meats, fresh milk is transformed into cheese, grapes are coaxed into wine and grain is bubbled into beer. The individual artistry and wisdom involved in these practices was once considered common knowledge. We aim to preserve these skills by creating a market place to showcase those who are diligently protecting these traditions all over Northern California. The well being of friends and family motivated those who originally discovered these clever acts of evading the short shelf life of nature’s bounty. It is within this establishment, we hope that you can take the time to grab a handcrafted sandwich, have a drink, watch a game and enjoy the simplistic luxuries with those people that make your life what it is. Preserve the good life!
