Visited this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. This restaurant was recommended by Jose at Berider from where we hired our Vespa (10 gold star service) We had not booked but arrived early, which was just as well. Whilst we could see 'reserved' on every table the last unreserved double table was found for us Within a short period the restaurant... More

Absolutely loved the food here - seafood paella delicious as well as the calamari and foie gras to start with. Restaurant was very full and fun. Fun trip on scooters from Valencia for the day!

The restaurant is located in Palmar village in 20 minute from Valencia. You can get there easily in with bus. However check the bus time since it is running every one hour. My wife and daughter loved the restaurant. They had Calmar which was really fresh and delicious, and also they loved the dessert which was Flan Queso and Tiramisu.... More

We went on bikes from Valencia to El Palmar. Around 20 km each way. Nice trip in the sun. We had the genuine Valencia paella and was a bit disappointed. Great rice, but one small piece of chicken, rabbit, duck and a few snails for each person was not good enough. Nice service ...

The restaurant is located in a small fishermen village in 20 minute drive from Valencia. We had a seafood paella for a family lunch there. Food was excellent, since it was a busy day service was somewhat slow, but acceptable. We had a nice table at the terrace with a view to the small channel.

After reading glowing reviews of this place, we drove 40 minutes for an extremely average meal. The seafood paella had hardly any seafood in it. We dug around in the dry gluey rice looking for signs of it. The service was excellent, the decor elegant, and the location, not the best. we past other restaurants with views of the lagoon... More

We had a very nice lunch at El Mornell. The croquetas de chipirones (little squids) and bogavante (lobster) are succulent and the tellinas (little shells) are divine. They also have one of the best arroz negro (black rice, made with little squids and their ink) I ever had. Definitely worth the detour if you're in Valencia and have a car... More

We found the village of El Palmar through trip advisor and were not disappointed. There are obviously plenty of tourist traps in the little village, but Mornell is definitely not one of them and I strongly recommend a visit if staying in Valencia. The interior is modern but very comfortable and stylish. The menu is varied and everything we had... More

Of all the excellent food-related experiences we had in the Valencia area, lunch at Mornell is one we'll be recommending for a long time to come. It's one of many paella restaurants in El Palmar, a small town south of Valencia in the Albufera nature area. There are bigger and fancier places as well as smaller places with a few... More
