This is a restaurant I take all my visitors to Valencia,to taste authentic Paella. I have eaten at 4 other restaurants in El Palmar and all offered value for money and very good food. I have now settled on this one for the quality of the food and great staff This time I was surprised by the main course which... More

The starters were good. Nevertheless, the paella we had tasted like it had been salted 3 or 4 times. Salty to a point that we got quite thirsty. It took us about 2h30 to have lunch as the servers weren't the fastest! The cups of tea were dirty. Will definitely not suggest you to go have lunch at this restaurant.

This is my favourite restaurant in El Palmar. They do the best paella in the village. I have been to 4 others restaurants and theirs is good but Pescador is best. They have 2 waiters, one is very friendly and the other is like an undertaker, never smiles and lack personality.. I started off with the friendly guy and ended up... More

We wanted to have a good paella so we just run away of the tourist traps of Valencia and headed to el Palmar. There we went to one of the few restaurants open at night and we decided order the daily menu. The starters... well... we ordered calamari (not bad), pescadito frito (quite good) and bravas that tasted like everything... More

My usual restaurants in El Palmar was closed so I decided to try this one. I will be going back on my next visit We had about 6 tapas and hot rolls while waiting for our paella and was worried we may not have space for the main course. All was very tasty. The paella was as expected, perfectly made. After... More

The atmosphere of the place is quite nice. The service depends how lucky you are. We had two waiters and one of them was very attentive and nice (the older) but the other one was quite unfriendly and rude. The food was very good. We had the 15 € menu and the esgarrat was very very nice with moixama and... More

We stayed in Les Gavines near El Palmar for a week in May this year. The area is beautiful but we found both that at this time of year that the many of the restaurants in all the villages and towns are completely closed, and in any event even in high season many do not open during the evenings. Whilst... More

Before the review about the food and the place, one remark. Do not participate in an organized excursion ! It is a lot more fun to go to El Palmar by bike and pedal through/alongside the ricefields. Within the town there seem to be as many restaurants as inhabitants and there is a few located on the central square. Most... More

I was there with my boyfriend who visited me in Valencia and wanted to eat Paella... Unfortunately it was the only restaurant open at this day and there was also sitting a big group of native older people so we went in there because we thought that locals might know the good restaurants... But this was a big mistake, the... More

We were a party of seven people on a day trip to L'Albufera, one of the most-visited tourist attractions in València. At first, we were kind of worried about the prices and quality of the food, since most of the restaurants in this area are just tourist traps. However, we couldn't be more satisfied with the whole experience at Llar... More
