Friends who live in Colorado Springs took me here ... it is FANTASTIC!! I don't drink - so passed on the wine, but the food is terrific!! Eat on the balcony and enjoy the stream below and the trees. I will be back!! Not far from the highway and is on the way to Pike's Peak. Not a huge place... More

A great place to stop for lunch or dinner while exploring the Ute Pass area. Right off the highway and entrance to the Pikes Peak highway. Food is good. Great selection of wines too.

The food is great (especially the trout) and the wine is wonderful. (You can taste-test various varieties before deciding what you want!) But the greatest part of this locale is the creekside dining. Of course, it's best to save this spot for a day when the weather is cooperative. Then wait (if you have to) for a spot near the... More

The hostess was very friendly and greeted us when we came in. The place is very quaint. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie which was amazing! I ordered the mahi-mahi tacos and they were okay.. the fish was a bit dry. I was a little disappointed when I was told they did not have wedge fries even though their... More

I can highly recommend stopping here for a good country Colorado meal. I did find a wine that I actually enjoyed after tasting several that were not so stellar with the "Free 5 tastes" offer. My understanding is that they close down the creekside dining after the first snowfall of the winter. I would say it's well worth stopping by... More

The stream-side setting is lovely; enjoy trout-spotting. The wines are good; try for one to match your entree. The wine burger is a treat; order it medium rare with baked beans as the side. Don't expect speedy service. Relax. Sip. Chat.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, around 1pm. The day was cool, so we opted to dine inside (rather than Creekside). There was 10 in our group and the hostess handled us immediately. Most of us ordered the Bison Wine Burger - and it was cooked to perfection! I had the beans as a side dish and they were different... More

My overall experience was poor based on the following criteria: service; restaurant staff was disorganized and didn't know their tables; the menu was incorrect and didn't accurately describe my dish. I will describe my experience based on each category below. Service/Menu: I was greeted at the hostess stand and was informed to seat myself. A hostess offered me water, and... More

We both had buffalo wine burgers - his was a mushroom swiss and mine was regular. The buns had changed and were more manageable, with a luscious buffalo burger cooked to order and toppings as requested. We both had rosemary roasted potatoes that were delicious. Creekside dining here is so enjoyable and peaceful, we love it.

Description
Nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak in Cascade, Colorado, The Wines of Colorado is an unheralded, romantic oasis and an easy 15 minute drive from downtown Colorado Springs. True to its name, the restaurant, tasting room, retail wine sales and gift shop, all do a brisk sip-and-sup business, but while oenophiles can be found sniffing their way around the tasting room, epicureans retire to the wood planked deck or Creekside dining area to feast on towering sandwiches and burgers, including the very popular buffalo wine burger, a juice-dribbling, hand formed patty sky scraped with grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, and roasted green chilis.

Dine in the shade of the willows and pines next to Fountain Creek or on our sunny deck overlooking the creek. Combined with great food and wine, this is the Colorado experience you have been looking for.

Shielded from the sun by wispy willow trees and aromatic pines along the creek, The Wines of Colorado is the perfect place to enjoy your getaway.
