Every time we're in town we make sure to have breakfast at the King's Chef Diner at least once. Cash is the only accepted payment so be prepared. At 30 years old I still like getting a sticker for cleaning my plate like a kid :) Check them out!

Bring cash...cash....cash or you wont eat. The food was excellent, the breakfast burrito is the size of a log. The biscuits and gravy was actually homemade and very good. A little pricey but you get a ton of food. Once of the breakfast places we have been to.

King Chef is our favorite breakfast joint! There is no way you will leave there hungry. I would recommend "The Thing"- texas toast topped with hash browns, your choice of meat, eggs and their green chili. Very important- first timers- get the green chili on the side! It is hot. My husband loves "The Grump", which is similar to the... More

We went to the original location on Costillo. It is a very small diner (13 seats), but what fun!! Cassandra (the only waitress) made us "first-timers" feel right at home and made sure we knew that the portions were big and the green chile hot. They serve breakfast and lunch all day (I believe 7 am to about 2 pm).... More

Nicer than your typical dive diner, but all the hustle and bustle that your expect from a busy downtown location. Nothing fancy -- just consistently great grub for the whole family.

Decent diner food, nothing spectacular, just what you would expect from a diner. The portions are large. Staff was very nice.

Saturday mornings our treat is to eat out. We live northeast of Colorado Springs. There are very few local cafes in the area so we tend to travel toward downtown and the west side of the Springs. Recently, we went to the King's Diner. We've been quite fond of the diner since eating there a number of years ago. It... More

A local told us to go here. Locals know best. Wow. I still dream about their burritos. Large portions here so don't over order. Super nice waitstaff, even to outsiders (Colorado can be a "locals only" type place). We ate here twice and wish we went a third time. Best place we ate at in town.

I'm appalled that there are reviews of KC that include adjectives such as "disappointed," and "overrated." It's a freakin' "DINER," people! Temper your expectations. If you think the portions are "small" or the food "tasteless," you don't understand food and need to go back to food school. This place is on point. Whether you're stumbling out of a bar or... More

Had an early dinner here with the family after visiting Garden of the Gods. We came based on the great reviews here. We ordered also based on the reviews others have posted. Many mentioned that the portions are huge, so we ordered only two dishes for the four of us (2 adults 2 kids) to share. We ordered the Bronco... More
