Enjoyed great food, service and ambiance. All the food we had was excellent and flavorful. The Prato Colorado appetizer was a very nicely griddled goat cheese with plum chutney. The three entrees we tried were uniformly excellent. The La Juliana was a slow-roasted pork shoulder that fell apart. The Seafood Copacabana was a nice combination of shrimp and scallops with... My wife took me here for my birthday and we both were really had a let down experience. They really try to up sell everything, even though we both said we were not interested in a drink menu we were handed one anyway to mull over before we ordered. My wifes dish of prawns and cod was good but my... More

This place has a well decorated, colorful atmosphere. The Coconut dish was heavy with cream, toasted coconut and coconut meat was tough to finish. The cod was fresh and full of al dente vegetables but the service was geared to selling cocktails because that's the menu you get first. The attention seemed so scripted and monotonous. She placed our to-go... More

I visited here based on the reviews. First, you DO NEED reservations, but the manager was able to accommodate us after scolding us for not having a reservation! Second, the food was so heavily seasoned, the flavor seemed masked by spice. Third, both of us dining together had violent digestive upset not long after eating our meal. It hit me... More

We were seated immediately upon our arrival for our reservation. The hostess was quite pleasant, asked if we had been there previously. I hadn't, so she told me a little about their history and their food. They have decent wine, according to my friends, and they have my choice: NA beer. The menu was extensive. We tried the plantain /cheese... More

Tasty food, but not mind blowing. Fun atmosphere, good music. Friendly staff. We only had a small sample of the menu, so I will update my review when I go back and try more dishes. My husband said the feijoada completa was delicious, but his caipirinha was a bit too sour. My seafood dish was alright. Not a ton of... More

My Denver friends occasionally take a trip to the other side of town just to go to Cafe Brazil. Its really worth it, with excellent food overall and friendly service. We had a seafood special with fish, scallops and shrimp with a coconut milk sauce which was to die for. Compliments of the chef was a black bean soup that... More

Went to Cafe Brazil specifically for the feijoada. Got there at 7pm (they opened at 5pm) and they were out. A Brazilian restaurant out of feijoada 2 hrs after opening !!!! On the positive side, staff were great (friendly and accommodating). Caipirinha were good (ask the bartender to make one from scratch instead of using the premix)

First, the entire menu looks/sounds delicious, so take a few extra minutes to study it because then you'll hear the specials and really be torn about what to order-at least I was. Fortunately, I was dining with someone so we could share plates and taste a few different things-including appetizers. I had a ribeye and let me tell you that... More

Cafe Brazil is a cozy, romantic place with wonderful food, exotic drinks, and excellent service. It's not white-tablecloth fancy, though! The flavors are complex but not heavy, rich but not over-powering. Although many of the dishes are spicy, some can be ordered mild. The Piexe de Angola and the Seafood Copacabana are my all-time faves. Best Feijoada I've ever tasted.... More
