Excellent guacamole! Good portions, good prices and excellent taste. I had chile verde plate and a chile relleno. Also the Flautas are huge!

Giving a 1 star review is very unusual for me, but I ordered the chile relleno plate and the relleno was so hot I couldn't eat it. There was no warning on the menu and no choice between hot and mild. If you eat at this establishment, please inquire before you order. I certainly won't be eating there again.

If first impressions translate into future visits, my wife and I are bound to return to Patzcuaro's next chance we get. We ducked in for a late lunch recently after getting haircuts in the Highlands District of Denver, and it being National Margarita Day, ordered accordingly. The specially prepared drinks were great and the food, delivered as promptly as we've... More

When I first moved back to Denver 6 years ago after being in Los Angeles for 15 years, I was bummed out by the lack of amazing carnitas. Thank god an old Westword review pointed me in the direction of Patzcuaro's. Sublimely succulent & tender, these carnitas are legit. The rest of the food (particularly the millanesa, nachos & guacamole)... More

Fast, well priced, attentive staff. Definitely a great place to stop if you are in a hurry ( which we were) as tables turn pretty fast. I had some pretty delicious tacos, meat, onions and fried potatoes. The salsa for the chips is great, I would have loved some salsa choices with my tacos too! Salsa verde my fav. They... More

I recently ate here due to the positive reviews. Pros: 1. Great salsa 2. Great chips (tasted homemade) Cons: 1. Tampiqueno was inedible. Tough, large strips of unseasoned meat. 2. Margarita had a distinctly manufactured taste (as from a mix) 3. Average service 4. Rice had very little flavor 5. Beans were marginal.

This was not your typical Mexican restaurant. You will not find the normal fair here. If you are only familiar with the standard Mexican fair, you will be pleasantly surprised. While they do have tacos, burritos and fajitas on their menu, they were definitely not what we were used to. The food was plentiful and tasty!

Stopped in here for a snack and margarita because their patio looked really cute. We paid over $10 each for the margaritas, and they tasted watered-down and flavorless. We didn't even stay for a snack because the margaritas were so disappointing. Their food might be good, but I wasn't willing to take the risk.
