Only been in the US for 2 weeks but this was by far my best meal so far. Bison steak with blue cheese ravioli ... and... elk burges are simply superb. Thanks to Matthew for the fantastic hospitality and food. We all had a great time

I was here on business for three days and had six meals at Appaloosa!!! Great menu and great selection of beer! I had their Buffaloaf twice, Crab and Grapefruit salad three times, Steak Salad once, and all soups. Tried their creme brûlée and lemon tart too. Great service, welcoming atmosphere, and tasty menu!

This is an amazing place. The food was beyond good, locally sourced and beautifully prepared. The sausage appetizer is a must. The bison and ravioli was excellent. The elk burger was delicious, and the mac n cheese was a good addition. Great beers too.

Always stop in when in downtown. I like the expanded micro brew menu on draft for around $6-$7 pint. Samples readily available. Loved the Colette farmhouse aIe. also like the entertaining bartenders making perfect drinks with strength. I like the service. And i like the diverse crowd. People friendly. I love the live bands after 9pm. Tried food for the... More

Very good selection of draft beers - excellent quality & keeps changing. Food was delicious at a decent price. Locally owned and some ingredients locally sourced. I'd go back again!

On our 4th day in Denver, we decided to hang out in the downtown/16th Street area for the afternoon. We ended up choosing Appaloosa for our early dinner....great choice!! The food was different, but excellent and the customer service was excellent! We decided to try the pork chili (see pic below) and it was delish! We also opted for the... More

This restaurant offers food with natural proteins and choices of vegetarian and gluten free dishes. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the 1/2 pound bison burger for lunch and tried their home made catsup. The sandwiches were tasty and excellent.

The decor here is interesting, a colleague called it atmospheric. Whatever that might mean, the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good. I had a vegetarian green chili soup and a beet and butternut salad. Both of these were great and the portion sizes were perfect and I left quite satisfied. I will stop here again when... More

If you have never been in Denver, this area of 16th street is an open mall walking area type of place. This restaurant is right on one of the corners. There is an old saloon type of ambience. Food was good. Service was outstanding. Even the bus boy was helpful. The restroom though clean was tired looking. A good coat... More

If you're looking for a place to grab a drink and an appetizer in Downtown Denver this is it. Located right on the main shopping strip it is a great place to stop in without waiting an hour for somewhere to sit.
