I come to Durango for Christmas / New Years for years. Over the past 4 years the food has slowly gotten worse. For half our meals it was average pub food. For the rest is was terrible. It's very crowded during the holidays so the service is sub par as expected but I would expect they would try to keep... More

We found this spot the first night of our vacation and loved the food! We were here before all of the ski folk made it to Durango and I did hear a lot of people talking about this spot while we were in the slopes. If you dig breweries, great food with casual atmosphere and awesome wait staff; check this... More

On a quick trip to Durango, CO, Aztec NM area, ate here one night with my Daughter and Son in law. Even on a Thursday night, this place was jumping! Very busy! However only a 10-20 min. wait, and the food was very good. Make sure you pay attention to the little chilis on the menu, next to the item... More

The first night we were in Durango we wanted to have dinner at the Steamworks Brewing Co. and then attend a free performance at the Arts Center across the street, but there was a long line at the brewery: we ate elsewhere. Undaunted, we came back the next day for lunch. I was impressed with the surprising upscale menu (It’s... More

We enjoyed our visit here as the beer was tasty and the service. The atmosphere was nothing special but the service was very good. Avoid the fish and chips and fish tacos. Actually, except for the fish (which could not have been more oily), the tacos were very good.

We do not drink beer and we were hesitant to go to a brewery for lunch. Recommendations from others in Durango convinced us to try it. WOW !!!! We were missing out on some really fine dining. We were seated away from the bar (you could choose the bar if you want) and had Michael, one of the best servers... More

We went to Steamworks Brewing Co while in Durango this past Decembeer! They had some great beer, the food was good, and the service was fast. It was a bit crowded and kinda loud but that's because it is a popular watering hole. Overall, we had a good time there!

On a visit from Arizona with extended family and two small grandkids we had another great experience at Steamworks. It's so family friendly, the service is always good and we've yet to have something off the menu that we didn't just love. One of our must stops when we're in Durango.

Description
Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.
