Because of our past visits we convinced several friends to meet us at Ace's for drinks and food before a recent Lincoln Center event. Our friends enjoyed the "speakeasy" setting and the craft cocktails. We all ordered a variety of tapas. Some came promptly and were tasty, while the flatbread my wife and I ordered took over an hour from... More

Went for some after dinner drinks. They have some inventive cocktails that were a real treat to try. Unfortunately, there was no live jazz when we were there - hopefully we'll catch some next time.

This underground jazz restaurant is a hidden gem! Casual dinning at a reasonable price! The food was made with locally grown sources. Friends and I shared the hummus, truffle fries and sliders. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had Nicole and I believe Sarah. The sliders are a must if anything!!!! Had a wonderful evening here! Worth the... More

Cool spot. It feel kind of like a prohibition-era secret bar, tucked downstairs behind a big steel door, then, voila, you're in a hip, swanky gin joint. Music fun, the food is good, the drinks always elegant.

Ace Gillett's is like stepping back in time to a place where the cocktails are the centerpiece with good food and jazz on the side. We enjoyed two old fashioned cocktails with a variety of tapas and and left highly satisfied. We arrived at 7:30, had no trouble getting a table, and received attentive service throughout. the hour and a... More

We went to Ace Gillett's on Saturday night. We were excited to check it out since it has been here for years and we never stopped in before this weekend. We unfortunately weren't impressed. First we waited for about 5-10 minutes at the door and then were taken in to find at least 4 or 5 open tables and space... More

I've found this place while travelling on business with my team. The food was indescribably delectable with all ingredients beautifully balanced. It was hard to believe, but all 10 individuals were very pleased with the food! The restaurant was an underground tapas, very clean, very elegant, and chic. The server was friendly, very quick, and very well dressed. Overall would... More

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday night and heard very good jazz accompanied by various walk on artists from the area. Good acoustics. Intimate setting. Excellent creative bartender although we only had wine. No cover charge when we went.

Located on College in Old Town, Ace Gillett's is not to be missed....though you will have to look carefully to find it. So, first you will have to find the stairs to go down stairs to the entry door on the left. It is located beneath the Armstrong Hotel. Listen for the live jazz and make your way to the... More

I love the atmosphere here and getting off the main drag into a cozy subterranean jazz club. But, I go here for the pork belly. I love their pork belly!
