This is actually two reviews in one. Came on Mother's Day and had excellent roast beef with Yorkshire puddings like my grandmother used to make. Very busy but excellent service. Today visited for Saturday lunch - very leisurely and again great food and good service. Well worth trying if you're in the area.

Wife, two daughters and I went for dinner Friday night. The ambience, service and food were all excellent. The chateaubriand we all had in particular, with Malbec, made it a memorable evening. Nothing was a problem, even when one of us spilled a glass of wine. The service was of the highest standard with that quiet, efficient and smooth professional... More

As a couple We have visited the Punch Bowl a few times, but decided to book the private dinning for a family celebration of our parents 50th. From our arrival the staff were very attentive and took us to the private dining area which was much more than expected. Much to our surprise Instead of just a dining room it... More

Four of us visited on a Friday for lunch. I was pleased to have booked as it was very busy. The bar has been redecorated since my last visit many years ago and it is much improved. A small but excellent selection of draft beers plus a reasonably priced wine list was a good start, the beer was in excellent... More

One of our favourite pubs to go to. Great for a casual drink and sandwich or a more formal evening meal. Alessandro and the team always make us feel so welcome! We weren't sure what to expect from Italian night as we never stray much from the classic pub food that it is so good at. However we were pleasantly... More

We visited the Punch Bowl today for lunch. The atmosphere was really good, the tables are set out brilliantly and not too close together, the open fire was very welcome today, the menu was varied and there was a very good choice and variety of food options. Alessando and Georgia could not have been more attentive. \When I said I... More

What a cracking night we had at the Italian themed dinner at The Punch Bowl Inn! I took a minibus with 10 like-minded diners from Harrogate to Marton-cum-Grafton (11 miles) for the event and enjoyed every moment of the evening. Italian flags were draped all over the Inn and the authentic Italian-speaking restaurant manager, Alessandro, was even sporting a tie... More
