Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My absolutely favourite taverna in Mykonos…. When I’m back home in grey winter, I’ll remember sitting at a beach table in the sun, looking out over an amazing vista, drinking wine served in pots, and eating sardines so fresh they’re practically swimming onto the plate....Happy, happy halcyon daysMore

We arrived around 10.30am at Nikolas and they set us up with sunbeds/umbrellas straightaway. It was extremely windy but they went out of their way to give us the beds which were shielded from the wind. Much cheaper than the beds on all of the...other beaches we have visited in Mykonos over the years (Euros 30 for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella). They served us drinks with a smile and when we were ready for lunch, gave us a great table in the shade. The food was outstanding, fresh and great value for money. They have tables on the sand under the trees but also under cover in the open fronted restaurant It (quite rightly) is a very popular place and this is not surprising as it has been there for many years. They are obviously doing something right! We finished our lunch and spent another hour or so on the sunbeds before heading back to our hotel. This restaurant is in a cute little cove which is a world away from the main Platis Yialos beach, just a walk away. Perfect for us. If you want something a little more lively, next door is Pinky Beach BUT no reason why you can't still eat at Nikolas! Enjoy!More

We have wonderful memories of Nikolas Taverna, sitting at a table on the beach, looking over the sea, with a glass of wine in our hand and our toes in the sand. We loved Nikolas Taverna so much that we came back a second time....This is a traditional, Greek restaurant, set on the beautiful, small Agia Anna (Saint Anna) Beach. It’s family-run (for three generations) the meat comes from the family’s farm and they catch their own fish. Staff were friendly and welcoming staff and service was good despite being very busy. The menu is extensive and whilst we enjoyed all the dishes, the highlights were the slow-cooked lamb which just fell off the bone, the golden grilled calamari and the white taramasalata dip. GETTING THERE: Without a car, we caught the public bus from Mykonos Town to Platys Giaolos Beach, then walked the 15 minutes along the pretty coastal path to Agia Anna. This was very easy and was a lovely early evening stroll before dinner. NOTE: Confusingly, there are 2 Agia Anna beaches which gets confusing. This is the one on the south side, next to Paraga Beach, not the one at Kalafatis.More

Best restaurant in Mykonos, affordable, the staff is really nice and friendly. Food is absolutely delicious, best food I’ve ever had in my life. Going back to Mykonos just to eat in there again. Amazing.

Beautiful located Greek taverna with traditional food. Also visited by local families which is a good sign. Nice views over the sea, sitting at small tables under the trees, lively. We had a light lunch with grilled sardines and grilled aubergine. Both very tasteful and...at reasonable prices. Lovely down to earth restaurant at the southwest coast, well worth a visit.More

Amazing spot for good food. We tried to eat at local tavernas whilst on holiday and this place didn’t disappoint. Food and service was great, desserts especially! Would highly recommend over the expensive beach clubs.

Nice food not exceptional. Unfortunately getting there is an issue and so makes it expensive for a nice meal. Service good but not personal or attentive. I expected more

We stumbled across this place for dinner at the end of August and thankfully they had a seat for us inside! The seats on the beach were super busy so i'd recommend booking in advance to sit there. The food was delicious, the service was...great and the location was beautiful. This is a family owned restaurant and it definitely felt that way from the moment you enter. An authentic greek experience. Thanks all!More

A wannabe gourmet restaurant but doesn't achieve that goal... The food is very poor. The price is a rip off for what you get.

We were excited to come eat here during our stay, to see another Mykonos Beach and eat at a family-run restaurant. The beach here is windy, it impacted our ability to enjoy our meal, but this will certainly vary depending on the day you come....The food was okay, nothing memorable. The views are really why you come, or perhaps we didn't order the right things. We did see a nice sunset. We read reviews before we came, so we did bring cash to pay to avoid extra charges. As a result, they rounded the bill down slightly and then we tipped on top. They were grateful and kind. Service was good, especially compared to other's accounts. We headed up the hill towards some famous beach clubs and found a little market which had many ice cream options. We grabbed a few snacks and then waited for our taxi to come back to get us. Overall, we didn't feel it was worth the journey and cost to get there and back unless we were going to stick around at a club. If you have a rental or another mode of transportation, perhaps it would be better.More

Awful food. Lovely setting on the beach and looked a nice Greek menu. Meatballs so dry no sauce, inedible. Moussaka cheap ingredients been in the microwave. Yuk, waste of money

Me and my boyfriend went there for dinner and immediately noticed that the restaurant itself is a very nice place with a good atmosphere. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 main plates (seafood spaghetti). They brought us the appetizers and 2 mins laters they arrived...with the main dishes. Pasta was already cold when it arriver and we were just starting to taste the appetizers, so it was quite of a mess as it was too much at the same time and everything got cold immediately. Waiters didn’t apologize for that and we just kept everything but it was a pity as the food was not that good as soon as it got cold. Wine was nice and the lady who server us was extremely kind. At the end of the dinner the waiter told us that if we would have paid cash we would have had a saving of 10€ on the total cost. We didn’t have cash so we paid the full amount by card but we didn’t like the approach.More

This is my happy place in Mykonos, I never not go and have been for few years. Situated on a beach, delicious fresh fish, you often see father & son by the boat returning from fishing trips, love the family feel the restaurant has. Great...service, atmosphere. Have only be there during lunch and can't wait to return. Don't hesitate to go !More

Took 2 hours to get our main course. Staff were rude. My daughters fried squid was a plate of just that - no salad, chips etc. overcooked, when we complained how slow the service was we were given a cheap bottle of wine but the...guy didn’t apologise with it, instead the comment was “this isn’t fast food you know”. A lot to learn about customer service….More
