I love this place, it's tucked away, quiet, good food. Very reasonably priced. The waitresses/waiters are very attentive to your needs. The food comes pretty quick.

Five of us ladies visited for dinner. The food was authentic and service was good. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere - nothing fancy here. We will return again. Our only concern was the horchata was too thick, it was gooey and unappetizing to drink.

We asked a "local" for a Mexican restaurant lunch recommendation. She recommended Leon's. We were not disappointed. The location is in an old strip mall with easy access off I 70 business loop. There is ample parking. The service was very good. The food excellent. It is not in any way fancy, but clean and brightly decorated. Everything tastes bright... More

I'm local and have eaten at Leons's many times over the years; usually for lunch. To me it seems more authentic than any of the others in the area and the food has been consistently flavorful throughout the times I've dined there. It is annoying that they charge for chips and salsa as one of the other reviews pointed out.

This place is on the border line of Fruitvale/Clifton, and Grand Junction. Leon is from San Blas, in Mexico - an extremely beautiful place and the last pirate stronghold in the New World (Portuguese). This food really tastes delicious and different from American/Mexican restaurants. It might be managed by one of Leon's relatives now. A great place in general, and... More

We are locals in this area. We will NOT be returning! This place used to be great and has turned to terrible. Food portions were not large like the other posts suggest, and only average in taste. We had to ask several times for refills, and were charged for chips and salsa (typically complimentary). This place is suffering, thats why... More

We tried Leon's for the first time today and were very impressed. The furnishing are plain but the food made up for it. We ordered the "Leons Platter for 2". It included carne asada, bacon wrapped shrimp with onions and peppers, and pork carnitas. There was enough food for 3-4 people and it was all fabulous. Several other diners were... More
