If you are planning to go to Rocky Mountain National Park, the west side, you will definitely venture into the town of Grand Lake about 2 miles before the park's entrance. On a weekend, if you like a good breakfast, stop in at the Fat Cat Cafe for the buffet. For around $15 for adults, drinks included, you can get... More

We're locals who don't eat "downtown" much during tourist season, but did do breakfast here again recently. First... The breakfast buffet (weekends only) is a sight to behold: truly unbelievable array of egg dishes (including "scotch eggs"), quiche, biscuits & gravy, fruit, & an almost painful number of pastries & pies (yes, pies). It's really way, way too much, but... More

We stopped by here on a cold morning. The coffee was good, but a bit over-priced. I guess that should be expected in a remote town. The food was decent. The service was nice. It is rather small, but seemed to be well attended even on a day when town was rather quiet.

Small, personal, informal, and friendly. Met several locals there, which tells you something good about the quality. Eat breakfast here, even if you don't normally eat breakfast. About ten kinds of pie for breakfast dessert? How can you go wrong?

Very simple atmosphere with homemade food. Soup and salad is great and the quiche is very well prepared.

Limited seating, go early. Locals seem to like it. Too. We were there at about 8:00 am and had a 15min wait which was worth it. My expectations were not as high as my experience. Sat & Sun this week were buffet only which isn't always a good sign but their breakfast buffet was excellent and varied. The pie selection... More

We love this place for the Sunday brunch items. Wonderful homemade pastries and pies. Good biscuits and gravy and Scotch eggs. Lunch during the week is good with always a quiche and soup of the day. Friendly service in a small, intimate space.

Thank Barbara M
