Menu has a good offering for business and for family dining. They are able to service large groups without an issue and find ways to solve problems if a very special request is made.

If you want to pay $18 for this dinner, come here! I appreciate all the love and organic ingredients that the manager attempted to justify pricing with but maybe some things you just shouldn't be okay with. Calling this dinner is insulting. So disappointed that my hometown of Louisville has a restaurant that think this is okay. My daughter's macaroni... More

The food was outstanding once again . The pan roasted chicken was melt in your mouth and loved by several. The shrimp special was also a big hit. Looking for a refreshing drink try the Mule.

My husband and I ventured to Louisville to check out Old Town and decided to try The Empire. The service was excellent. Our server, Alex, was delightful and very knowledgable. She suggested a great bottle of wine that complimented our delicious dinner. We shared a calamari salad that was excellent and I had the pork chop to follow, which was... More

I was fortunate enough to visit The Empire for a business dinner while in the Louisville area. It was a warm summer evening, so we were able to dine al fresco. I was impressed with the drink menu, which featured numerous creative selections as well as all the classics. The dinner was fabulous as well, I enjoyed the risotto which... More

2nd visit this past weekend on our "date night" and it was as good as the first time. PEI Mussels in coconut broth were excellent, especially with lots of fresh crusty bread to soak up the excellent flavor. The crispy calamari salad was also really good and the house zin was perfect. Open to the street and with tables streetside,... More

Went back and had a great meal, drinks were outstanding like always. Prior visit was disappointing, but everyone has an off night.

Loved the Brussels sprouts (of all things) on the starter menu. Flatiron steak with chimmichurri (sorry if I am spelling it wrong) and the meatball dish were the hit at the table. Fun drink menu (loved my jele bean) Strong waitstaff. Open air to sidewalk seating, though we chose to eat inside.

I just moved to Louisville and was excited to try The Empire. My 22 year-old daughter ordered a burger and I ordered the tuna burger. No exaggeration - we waited 30 minutes or more to get our entrees. Our waiter never explained the wait nor apologized. My daughter took a bite of her burger and stopped mid-chew. She spit it... I ordered the Duck Enchiladas, expecting the duck to be shredded in the Enchiladas - sounds interesting right? Well, it didn't come that way. The duck came sliced and on the side of the goat cheese filled enchiladas. The duck was amazingly delicious and the best I ever had, perfectly medium rare and so incredibly tender. The enchiladas were good... More
