Great pizza and salads! We moved here recently and are glad Trinidad has a civilized pizza restaurant! They are open for lunch, but then close til 5 pm.

There are pizza places everywhere and many "brick oven" joints that aspire to be something unique. Amazing pizza crust that rivals Lombardi's in NYC. This place simply served great pizza and fresh abundant salads. I would give them 5 stars if they had a better beer menu but what they had sufficed.

We like pizza and are somewhat picky. All 3 of us agree ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Son said could have had a little more sauce as it was good, not greasy. Contrary to some reviews 2 waitresses had the place but handled it very well. (We arrived on a Sunday after church. )

Wonderful pizza made in a wood fired oven with great local crafted beer. Great menu options. Service was friendly and excellent. Also had a tasty salad. Would definitely repeat.

Stopped by for a bite to eat, when passing through Trinidad, and was impressed. Great atmosphere and even better pizza!

Ok. FIrst, my prejudice: I've eaten in 5-star and Michelin-rated restaurants all over this continent and on others. At the end of the day however, eating a really good pizza is as pleasurable (if not better) than the other experiences. On a trip back from Santa Fe, we decided to stop in Trinidad Colorado (pop. 10,000 souls) for a pizza.... More

We found Bella Luna through Trip Advisor while passing through town on a Sunday afternoon during vacation. We had to wait longer than usual after being seated to give our drink orders. In fact, the table next to us was seated after we were and had their drinks before the waitress even came our way to get our orders. We... More

After all of the reviews, I was really looking forward to great pizza. It was not meant to be. The order was wrong (should have been the Pesto Pearl). They made another one in 5 minutes (orders take 15 minutes) and it was undercooked and had a scarce amount of pesto.

We had two really good pizzas, with a salad side and garlic bread. The pizza bases were really light and tasty, with the slightly smoky wood flavouring from the oven. Cracking toppings and great wine and beer made for a very happy evening

We had a fabulous salad and a terrific oven fired pizza. Many combination of ingredients to choose from plus good beer choices. Friday night and quick service. Appeared that many locals frequented this main street restaurant.

We found the restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a try after we had had a long day of driving/sightseeing and we were not dressed for anything that couldn't accept road weary types. (i.e. slightly sunburned, hair covered with a hat, etc). So for our dinner we ate at the Bella Luna Pizzeria. They have a fantastic wood fired pizza oven and their pizza is delicious - reminds us of the ones we got in Italy. They have a good wine selection and some microbrew beer selections were available. The owners, Sandy and Jeff, are very friendly and really welcoming. Their pride in their place shows in the restoration work they
did on this historic building. They have a unigue mix of pizzas that are their own creations but I have to say, judging by the pizza we had that included "pesto" as one of the toppings, we were happily surprised that the pesto did not overpower the other flavors. They also offer a daily special for dinner (when we were there). They also offer gelato which I believe is a secret too good not to be shared. We were content after splitting a 12" pizza and some mozzarella bread sticks and slept well that night. We'll be back.
