We met an aunt and cousin here for a late long lunch. It was spectacular! Exceptional food choices and outstanding, attentive service. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Modern and contemporary. Not mountain rustic or Bavarian. Wonderful experience!

This watery has a charming locale but the flavors are catered to a fancier palate than mine. Foie gras and other fine dining options make up the entirety of the rather brief menu. The wine/cocktail/liquor menu is a multi-page book in comparison. My husband really enjoyed the Elevation beer. A group seated near us were surprised to discover there are... More

Located above their sister restaurant, Mountain Standard which was very good, Sweet Basil disappointed me. There is an attitude here that proved to be artificial. It was very expensive and the portions were small. My 16 year old grandson took two bites of his salmon and was finished. There were these mustard seeds swimming in a gel that looked like... More

It was Saturday night on the Thanksgiving long weekend and Sweet Basil was packed. I had made a reservation 3 weeks previously and it was just as well, there was a stream of potential patrons hoping in vain for a walk in table as we waited to be seated. The restaurant is quite large and spacious with a fine dining... More

I started with the butternut pasta- yes! That was a win. My boyfriend had the ahi tostada, fresh and great- even had apples in it. My entree was the pork tenderloin- really impressed and I love me a good pork! Great service, warm environment. But the reason you NEED to go here is for the dessert- sticky toffee cake- get... Sweet Basil was absolutely delightful! The ambiance is very comfortable - not at all stuffy - and we got same day reservations through open table. We couldn't decide on appetizers so we got several - all we're very nice but I loved the butternut pasta. For the main course, my husband had the beef cheeks, my son had the lamb... More

Our concierge was a bit reluctant to recommend Sweet Basil because it is one of those restaurants everybody wants to go to. She wasn't concerned it wouldn't be good. She assured us it would be in fact. She just was looking for something different for us. In the end, we asked her to make reservations and weren't disappointed. It met... More

The place is nice . you better have a reservation . We saw the hostess make 2 couple wait because they did not have a reservation and there were numerous tables available.Maybe they were expecting more people soon. I don't know. The menu was interesting and diverse. The fare was very good. Our waiter had some weird quirks but he was... More

We met the owner at a luau on Oahu and promised we would visit him in Vail. We weren't disappointed with our meals. I am pretty picky about where and what we eat too.
