My son and I had dinner here the other night and really enjoyed it. I had the swordfish with rice pilaf and green beans. The swordfish was a little bland and I had to use one of the sauces provided to give it a little more flavor. The green beans were delicious. My son ordered the red snapper and found... More

If you like fresh fish flown in daily this is a must visit in Vail Colorado. Had fresh Alaska Dungeness crab as an appetizer. Fantastic!! Fresh grilled Red Snapper with a fresh cucumber salad and potatoes or vegetables of your choice. Great decor also!!

The food was really good, but you pay a premium to eat in Vail. We enjoyed everything and the wait staff was friendly.

The staff were all extra friendly and courteous. Dom, our server was very knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions on the menu! The Red Snapper was prepared deliciously Miso Glaze with beautiful presentation begging for a quick photo before digging in! And the grilled ribeye . . . Perfect! We'll never forget the lobster mac and cheese starter! Portions are generous... More

We have visited Vail during ski season for the past 20 years. We have enjoyed Montauk for special occasions when we want to enjoy good seafood. Because I have wheat/dairy allergies, we made a reservation for 6 p.m. on a weekday hoping to beat the "rush" and make it easy on the wait staff and kitchen. On the positive side,... More

This was our second time to Montauk (we also ate here in March 2016). As others write, don't come here for the fancy decor or white linen. Pretty basic decoration and furniture. But the food is great and the service as well. I can see other people had quite different experiences just before us, but I cannot fault neither the... More

My husband and I had dinner at Montauk Seafood Grill on Thursday, February 2nd. We arrived fifteen minutes late for our reservation due to a forgotten wallet, but were greeted cordially by the hostess who we had informed of our predicament earlier by phone. Don't expect plush banquettes and white linen. The dining room is rather basic with tables close... More

I have been visiting Vail for over 30 years, they have been a long time consistent "great place for seafood". You can't go wrong with this selection if you want to go seafood.

Group of 5 dined at Montauk last week. It was the 2nd time I have had dinner there. The menu is very interesting and there are many choices. I got grilled swordfish which came with a choice of 2 sides. For appetizers we got oysters, lobster mac and cheese and an arugula salad. Dessert was the sand pie. Henry was... More
