My wife and I had to go all the way to Victor, Colorado, an old mining town in the shadow of Pike's Peak, to find one of the best bakeries we've ever experienced. And we found Gold Camp Bakery by accident. We were vacationing in nearby Cripple Creek, another old mining town that has undergone a rebirth with the introduction... More

I was waiting for a meeting to start in Victor, I asked around and was directed to this wonderful little Bakery. So glad I made the effort to find it. The atmosphere was wonderful. Talked to the owner for a while and ate desert first. Best desert I have had in a long time. The sandwich was fine, but if... More

The Gold Camp Bakery is our favorite food in Victor. The owners are always there and EVERYTHING is awesome! The Peanut Butter Pie is the best in the USA, and I never miss getting a piece of it, or a whole pie!

When my husband and I stumbled into this German bakery, we were met with delicious smells, friendly smiles, and a display case full of beautiful pastries, breads, and cakes. My husband's three year stay in Germany has made it difficult for us to find bread and pastries that taste like he remembers from the German bakeries. The Gold Camp Bakery,... More

This little mom and pop bakery/cafe is an unexpected treat, located in a former gold mining town. Great soups, sandwiches and authentic German pastries.

Looking for a place for some lunch? Look no further, this is the place! The prices were fair, the food was exceptional and the employees/owner were so friendly and helpful. Once I found this gem, I didn't eat anywhere else in town.

Victor is a very small town, and eating choices are limited. We stopped at this small bakery for lunch, which was pretty good. The choices are limited, with the major choice being build your own sandwich. I had a turkey and Swiss cheese half sandwich, which was fairly tasty. My half sandwich was huge, and I could only eat half... More

We stopped in for lunch and it was great. The authentic Kaiser rolls were delicious as was thechicken pot pie. It would be impossible to resist the great sweets in the bakery case. My downfall was a heavenly Black Forest torte. Victor itself is a fascinating old gold mining town without all the hustle of nearby Cripple Creek.

In the old mining town of Victor, surrounded by gold mines, is a German bakery that is a gem in its own right. Great coffee, outstanding desserts, and soup and pasty for lunch. There is a branch in Cripple Creek with all the same great selections by the Palace Hotel. Recommend both.
