Visited on Thursday night. Haven't been to restaurant since they renovated and expanded the bar area. Renovations looked good. Food quality was excellent as always. Service which is usually hit or miss was fantastic. Tough to find good seafood restaurant in Northern Connecticut but this place always gives a good quality meal for slightly higher price than most. Cajun cooked... More

My husband & I decided to try Maine Fish Market Restaurant because I was (am always) craving fresh seafood & the pictures and menu seemed like a perfect fit. We'd never been here. Immediately upon our arrival, I was charmed by the exterior old-fashioned look of the building. I could see the fireplace from the window and knew I wanted... More

I got the broiled haddock which was delicious and flaky and served very hot. The sides were a bit weak...not-so-great chowder, rice with a slightly weird taste, greatly overcooked Brussels sprouts. Very friendly and prompt service.

Wife and I dined there recently and found the lobster not cooked enough, I ordered baked stuff lobster and they steamed it, wife ordered boiled and it was steamed and not cooked long enough. The dining area was out dated carpet was dirty with duck tape patches. This used to be a very good seafood restaurant, it seems the owner... More

We came here for my birthday after a friend recommended it to us. They don't take reservations so we just showed up. We got to the restaurant, and we were set to have one more person meet us there. When the hostess found this out, she said she wouldn't seat us until we had our entire party there. This has... More

Been here several times and the place is always busy. If you want seafood this is your place. Prices are fair and quality and portions are on the large side. Be prepared to take food home with you. I look forward to having another enjoyable meal here.

We met some family here for dinner on Friday night and it was very busy. They did offer chips and salsa while we waited (no salsa). They have a good selection of draft beer in the bar. I ordered the broiled swordfish with a baked potatoe and Cole slaw. The fish was ok although it had a taste I was... More

We are living in the Midwest originally from New England. When we go back to visit family it can be very difficult to find lobster at certain times of the year. Someone suggested the Maine Fish Market and we are so glad they did. It is typical New England decor, nothing fancy, but the food is out of this world!... More

Fresh fish broiled, fried, baked, stuffed. Salmon, sole, swordfish, haddock, polluck, clams, mussles, oysters, lobster, crab, variety of appetizers including jalapeño poppers. New England or Manhattan clam chowder. Steaks and chicken if needed. Served with rice or fries (or baked potato at night), loaf bread, slaw or house salad. My partners had grilled swordfish and haddock. I had the baked... More
