This is the most charming little coffee shop located in an historic building with hand-hewn stone steps, wide plank wood floors and an adorable sitting area with pretty views of town out the windows. We love this place not only for the atmosphere, but for the delicious coffee and specialty drinks. They also have a showcase filled with fresh baked... More

I live in the town of Essex and make the trip to this perfect little food spot at least weekly---often more. First of all it is situated in a colonial building that was there with the Griswold Inn around the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. I suspect archetectually very little has changed. They serve a wonderful selection of... More

Locals were coming in and out while we visited... this is clearly the go-to place for people who are headed to work. The coffee was great, the pastries really really delicious. There are tables and chairs inside and outside.

We stop to buy coffee every couple of days in this "Quaint Little Spot". The expresso is perfect and the ice coffee has different flavors that are really great. I had the toasted almond yesterday and it was pure perfection. The muffins and little snacks are always fresh and very tasty. I love sitting outside and watching the walkers with... More

On a hot day with 45 minutes at leisure in Essex (bus tour), my friend and I made a beeline for this lovely little coffee shop. She luxuriated in a frozen mocha latte, while I was delighted with my caramel nut iced coffee with the flavor roasted into the beans and not added by a syrup. The combination of the... More

Small but adequate. The coffees choices change, and are always good. Also the fresh scones/muffins are a good choice too. For a quick coffee break this is the place.

Best coffee in downtown area. House blend is very good. Or have a latte, frappacino or other savory drink. Also has great macaroons.

Great Cappucinno , fine croissant and little Quiche. Lovely pastries , served in an environment supporting local Artists and compelling works of the Shoreline at reasonable prices.
