This little place is no frills, but the pasta was great. Portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable.

The place is on the water's edge but far from anything fancy, quite the opposite. Cheap silverware, cafeteria type dishes, cheap napkins, very crowded tables with cheap, uncomfortable chairs. Bean dip was barely edible. Ordered the spaghetti pie specialty; I thought it was dry and lacking of much meat or flavor. It was huge, enough for two or three people... More
We've been going to Paul's Pasta for so many years now that I can't even remember our first visit and we're going back this weekend! We love the people, the food, the prices and the attitude: These are people who love what they do and you can't mistake it for someone who is in it "for the money." The entire... More
Pasta is good but the environment makes it taste better. Family style place where everyone seems to know each other. Food is honestly nothing special (it is good, just not on my radar of great) but the environment makes it special. They do have take out but that defeats the purpose.
Our 1st time there (was recommended for dinner by the owners of the Stonecroft Inn). We had the chicken parm and the eggplant parm. Both were excellent and the pasta was definitely home made. Yes, it's a small place and can be a bit cramped when full but they turn over tables quickly while the food arrives promptly, we never... More
Good food but small, get there before 5 to have a minimal wait, but if you have to wait it is worth it. It was warm out and we sat on the outside deck which was a pleasant experience. Staff helpful and attentive.
We Dined At Paul's Pasta for lunch during the week. Linguine ragu was delish. It had a chunky tomato sauce with fresh chopped bell peppers and mushrooms, sliced Italian sausage and crumbled ground beef. Two others in our party tried the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. A chicken breast lightly breaded and topped with melted cheese sat atop a nice portion... More
Paul's came recommended by our Mystic River boat guide and several cadets at CGA. Ordered a chicken pasta dish to go- wish I had been able to dine in- fun, casual, homey atmosphere. Excellent meal. Great customer service upon pick up.
I came to Groton for a visit to my daughter and family. We planned to come to Paul's Pasta Shop and it wasn't so easy to come to seat with a 2 yrs old child. We saw that there is take out menu so we came to the shop-restaurant and had a nice experience. The food was fresh... We ate... More
