This used to be our "go to" Chinese take out, not so anymore! Their food is mediocre at best. The chicken broccoli was virtually all broccoli, crab Rangoon was inedible, egg rolls were greasy, general tsao chicken was bland. We won't be going back here again!
Conveniently located on Whitney Avenue/Route 10 in Hamden, we often hit Blessings II Go on our way back from kayaking on the Sound. The food is cooked to order and is hot when you receive it. Only serving take-out and delivered Chinese food, the service is slow and food is not outstanding, but we keep going back here, Sometimes we... More
I had had food from the Blessings New Haven Restaurant once and thought I would try this location as its closer to home. When I walked into the restaurant I could see that it was not sanitary in the least. The obviously sick chef was covering their mouth while coughing and then put their hands on the food they were... Blessings had a restaurant in New Haven at one time which was so very popular and had superb Chinese fare. Love, loved, loved the place. I'm not certain Blessings II is owned by the same family - might be - but the meals aren't quite the same as in the restaurant - unfortunately. Otherwise, we'd be having take out at... More
Blessings was a top notch restaurant in New Haven decades ago. It has long since closed. This take out restaurant offers bland and uninspired food. Like many other Chinese take-outs there is nothing inspired in its cooking and beyond the typical large portions there is nothing different here than the next Chinese take-out a block away
We order all the time for delivery. We only live a mile or so away so it is always a fast turnaround. You can't really eat there, its a to go place. The combination plates are around $7 and contain too much food to eat in one sitting. It comes loaded with either white rice or pork fried rice. My... More
I ordered delivery on a sunday night at just after 6, and as of 845 did not get it til 845!!!! Several calls apolojized for being busy, but did not yield any discount or food. At one point the person who answered the phone asked me to pick it up if possible..... HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Blessings II Go looks the same as any Chinese take-out or deliver place, but the food is fresh and full of flavor! Not thrown together like some others. If you like your food fresh and fast, this is your kind of place. ~DB
