The cafe serves a terrific cappucino and their pizza (cut in squares, with thick, doughy crust) is delicious. The bakery next door has wonderful breads and their cookies are good too.

Basic Italian cookies nothing out of this world but they were alright. A client of ours dropped them off as a thank you for giving them business

Probably the only place in Hartford where you may find Italian (Sicilian) pastry. We bought conserved baba imported from Italy and cannoli made at the shop. The cannoli were a bit far from what you can get in Catania or Palermo, but acceptable for Connecticut. The ice-cream in the cafeteria was a disappointment. Nothing to do with the great tradition... We received a large box of cookies from a client of ours. The client brought them in after a company meeting as a thank you gift for our time. The Italian mixed cookies were very basic and just like any other Italian cookie. They were extremely sweet and they were good but nothing special. Tasted like any other cookie.

I'm not the biggest fan of Italian Bakeries but this one is different. It's old school with today's taste. The cannolis are filled when ordered, the cookies melt in your mouth, and the cakes are delicious. It is worth trying a new approach to the diet: anything from here! It's just too good to pass up!

The south end of Hartford used to be full of Italian immigrants with restaurants and caffes to meet their needs. Now Mozzicato's is one of a handful of establishments that continue in that tradition. The bar/café is always clean and shiny. The pastries are very good and the almond cookies very tasty. The gelato, while not as good as the... More

Our super special, and always dependable goto for desserts, cakes, and breads for many years. If Hartford had Foodie Hall of Fame, then Mazzicato's would be it's first honoree, according to this Foodie. Just their fresh Ricotta Cannoli could outshine any competitor. However, EVERYTHING else is outstanding, too. I only wish I had 1/10 of 1% Italian in my blood... More

Friendly, efficient service but pastries are too dry and dense if one prefers the light, airy French/Belgian/Swiss styles. The choux pastries were all dense and heavy. They do a very nice cannoli and tiramisu though.

I had stopped for a snack with my sidekick. The coffee and pastries were fabulous. Then I didn't want to travel to New Haven so I decided to give them a try for a party that I had for my girlfriends. All were impressed with such a wide selection here in the middle of CT. Will definitely return

Thank Loretta P
