We loved our meal here, food was about half an hour, but it's properly cooked meals, not like chain pubs. The menu is brilliant! Not only does it have a hilarious piece of personal 'welcome' writing from the owners, but it also contains a gluten free menu which I was extremely surprised and delighted with! The menu was traditional and... More

I had lunch here on a Tuesday in March. The views and the area is lovely. The strange art work at the back and all around the Sluice area is worth a look while you're there. There was a very cold wind blowing off the sea on that day but on a warm, sunny day the terrace outside would be... More

My first visit to Seaton Sluice. Popped in for a quick lunch and was pleased to find a well situated and welcoming pub. Spiced cod was ok - the fish was fresh an delicious, although the seasoning in the (otherwise excellent) batter didn't quite work. Decent selection of well kept beer.

Booked for 4 for a joint birthday and wedding anniversary dinner. The food was way above expectations and tasted great. The service was fantastic and the staff very helpful and friendly. This is certainly one of the best food restaurants in the area. Well done to Paul and all the staff.

I arranged to meet my father and aunt in here for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago and despite not booking a table the really friendly girl behind the bar said I could have a table in the corner of the pub. It was only free for an hour but after a few minutes another table became free and wasn't... More

We have been camping down the road from here and looked at the reviews of the restaurant. So good. They even had our favourite beer(Abbott's). The atmosphere was warm and cosy, the food delicious fresh and home cooked. Will definitely call here again when next in the area. Well done.

I ordered a wine chardonnay, and gave something else too dry when complaint to staff, management refused to change, need I say more. Oh yes food was just average only just. Over rated over priced over cocky management a lady?. When your quiet, let's see how you treat your customers, it's easy when your busy.

I can't remember how many times I have visited the Kings Arms over recent years, certainly more than a dozen. Every time we travel from Australia to Newcastle, the Kings Arms is high on my list of places to revisit and out recent three month stay was no exception. The Location, style and presentation of this pub is incredible and... More

Visited at lunch time Saturday during a busy service. Table for 5 was arranged for us after a little wait. Fish and chips, spicy cod bites and steak and ale pie were all perfect. Ale was lovely. Best latte ever. Service friendly and a lovely atmospheric pub. Excellent value for money.

Called in mid-walk while holidaying in the area. Didn't eat but atmosphere was good and location with views and external seating. Decent selection of good beers.

Thank Mark H
