Staying across the street the hotel had stopped serving so popped into Gippers for a drink and light bite. Received a warm welcome and surprisingly good home cooked burger and fries.

I was staying across the street for a couple of days and decided to take the walk over. I am glad I did. The outside is deceiving, it looks run down and dirty but the inside was a lot nicer (still not spotless but nicer). The food all tasted freshly made and the beer choices seemed plentiful. The bartender was... More

Just a dive bar that smells lime stale beer. Stayed at the hotel next door and ordered a couple of burgers. The cajun burger was horrible. Just a beef patty caked with cajun spice. Way to much. The other burger was nothing good.

I love this place! When I am in Connecticut for work, I usually stop in here for a large, cold draft & their delicious buffalo chicken salad (it's huge!). This place is similar to the atmosphere at local bars from my area that I enjoy going to; it's not fussy or pretentious, you feel comfortable there, even if you're by... More

This place fits into the "don't judge a book" category. The outside is a little old and faded but the people and the food inside are great. For what it is--a sports bar--everything is at least better than you might expect. There are better places for meals nearby, but this place was fun.

Popped in for a late dinner and the bar was fairly busy. The bartender, Jess, was nice. My BLT was good. Beer was cold and fast. Not the cleanest place, but not horrible. Bathroom was spotless.

Had dinner with a friend. Despite its location astride I95, Gippers has a local flair. Good, fresh made food. Good soups. And plenty of TVs around to take in whatever sports you're looking for.

I stayed at the hotel next door and stopped in to get a drink. The people were friendly, plenty of tv's to watch the game and beers only $5 with a smokers patio outside. Not the newest or cleanest but overall a good experience and worth checking out.
