This place is awesome! The servers were all so friendly and accommodating, and the Valentine’s Day menu was perfect!

Very small place and hard to get in, but if you want a real Mojito and authentic Cuban you must go here. My wife and I often start our dining out evenings here at the bar with a real Caiparina.

Great location. We ate here before a show a College Street Music Hall and this was right around the corner. The place is cozy and clean, the wait staff awesome. We ordered apps- which were all very tasty! I’ll be back for a main course.

2 of us had pulled pork with dirty rice and 2 ropa vieja. Nice with fried plaintains and black beans. Wish some veggies were included. Marguerita was good, maybe too much ice and too little tequila. Fun music and atmosphere.

This is a good restaurant in downtown New Haven. Nice menu. Christopher is a great fun loving guy who added to our dinner. But they need to have much better service. Not only did he seat people but he was also the bartender and server....More

First the pros: Very nice and accommodating waitstaff. Nice decor--I particularly like the cigar box vignettes on the walls. Music is traditionally Cuban and not too loud. Food is good--nice variety. Now the cons: Prices are very expensive for lunch--it appears that lunches and dinners...More

Very small and color place with excellent Cuban food. We only had appetizers and a small plate but the food was very flavorful and filling (decent sized portions). We will be back for actual meals. I know she complained of slow service but our service...More

The Soul de Cuba Cafe concept is rooted in the idea of promoting and preserving Afro-Cuban culture through sharing traditional Cuban - Afro-Indigenous food and art. The concept begins in a cozy dining-room setting that incorporates Cuban memorabilia, family photos, and Afro-Cuban religious artwork displayed over soft, earth toned painted walls. The ambiance is enhanced by the infusion of Cuban Salsa, Boleros, and Son music as well as traditional Yoruba Rhythms and African and American Jazz.
