Located in easy walking distance of the British museum and Yale Art Gallery. Definitely old school (it has been at this classy location for 25 years). Both food and service were excellent. They even have fixed price lunches- just as in France.

I really wanted to re think my initial impression. But not even fantastic food and good service could change my negative view, even after thinking about it for a day. We had 5:30 reservations for Christmas Eve. Reservations made more than a month in advance....More

Old, stately establishment that has the feel of a private club. Attentive service,,delicious cuisine,,served to perfection. Larger groups can have their own dining room. Definitely a New Haven highlight. For those who are into places with a long-standing tradition.

Went to a retirement celebration and ordered salmon. Was shocked that it was overcooked. Appetizer was duck confit and was surprised that the skin was not crisp; too fatty for my taste, but the meat itself was delicious. My husband had the braised beef short...More
