Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, Food was very good, given - it appeared, only 1 person working in the Kitchen. We had Paella (one was enough for 2 people with an entree) which was beautiful. Nice selection of wine, and good dessert choice.

Dined at The Bistro for the first time last night. We were accompanied by another couple. Excellent food and service (although face-painted in celebration of the Halloween season). Really enjoyed the paella. Will definitely go back.

Dave's Signature Paella was out of this world. The whole table was impressed with the taste and quality of the food. The restaurant was packed providing a fun and enjoyable local vibe. Owners and staff appear to be committed to providing excellent service, quality/locally sourced food and really improving the New London culture scene. Overall, great place for families, drinks... Upon entering the restaurant we were skeptical. The decor was dark and uninviting. However, the food turned out to be fabulous! The Fra Diavolo was fresh and very flavorful. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly and a traditional creme brûlée was the end to an amazing meal. The loss of one star was primarily from the dated and dark decor.

The food, drinks, and service were wonderful. I had the pork chops which were probably the best I have had. Others the shrimp, chicken and the seafood taco. Everyone was very pleased. Highly recommend this restaurant

Stumbled across this restaurant while evaluating where to have an early dinner.Small but very nicely decorated with a bar. New owners have taken over about two months ago. Menu is strong on seafood. I had the Fra Diablo which was excellent. Decent wine list with reasonable prices. Ordered a Mojito to start...very good. Have the opinion that parking on Bank... More

The original name of this place was "Charlie's and Friends Bistro". The new owner renamed it, "The Bistro". This tiny restaurant has eight tables for two-four people and few seats next to the bar. The open kitchen allows you to see how the chef is cooking your order. Pictures on the walls, soft lights, opened shelves with accessories make this... More

Every dish was fabulous, imaginative, flavorful and fresh: the signature paella, seafood fra diavolo and fluke prepared with fresh tomato and lightly seasoned broth. We were dining with world-traveling friends who had just returned from a 5-week tour of Sicily, Italy, Malta and Montenegro, where they ate some pretty marvelous food, and they raved about their meals. Chef Dave really... More

Probably the best restaurant experience I can remember. The menu is not extensive but the choices are quite varied. The food items are simple but taste is very complex. Can't wait to be back in the area so I can return to this place
