On my second visit, I finally ventured out to the back deck with my breakfast and coffee, and WOW! Great view. Friendly staff. Really good breakfast sandwich. I'm sad my town doesn't have such a place.

Nicely fixed up cafe in the heart of New London. Coffee choices excellent! Friendly service! Iced coffees were excellent! Old fashioned coffee cake was delish!
Disappointed after reading the rave reviews. Self service ordering. Food came to the table cold. Reminded me of a 60’s coffee house . Outdoor seating wasn’t scenic and we moved back inside due to the noise of construction. Never again!
A very busy place but worth the wait in line. You must order at the register and then take a seat and they'll bring your food to you. While they don't have cold brew, their iced coffee is very good. We had bacon, egg and...cheese on a croissant and a apple Danish. Everything was very delicious and again well worth the wait so much so that we went back 2 days in a row. If you have a dog they do have an outside seating area on the deck. We didn't bring our dogs with us, but it's nice to know that that is available. There is parking behind the building on the railroad side or in front on the main street. The pricing moderate not inexpensive but again I thought well worth the priceMore
Had lunch here. We expected to eat outside on their great deck, however it was still a bit chilly. The place keeps updating things--new display cases for their deserts, they relocated the water/ soda dispenser, put in new seating, etc. Every time we go there,...they have the place looking nicer and nicer. I got my usual Lust salad which was hugh and delicious. My wife got the mozzarella/tomato/pesto sandwich which was also delicious. Great iced coffee and iced chai. Friendly service and reasonable prices.More
Such a bright, clean, inviting spot with a great menu. Grab a coffee or a delicious salad and head out to the deck with Waterview. Just doesn’t get much better. So glad new London has this wonderful spot. I will also mention that the cheese...danish, served hot, is the best cheese danish I have ever had anywhere. Don’t miss Muddy Waters!More
Thank you so much, Cindy!
Very friendly staff. Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch and sit on the deck in the sun. Just get there before 3:00!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback!
This is by far a great place to eat and relax overlooking the water. The overview of the water is just so nice and staff is pleasant. Must try for sure. Great for small meetings outside and meeting the ladies/ men for late lunch.
Thank you! We appreciate you and your positive feedback!
Found this place looking for breakfast. They have quite a variety of options but the pastries are irresistible. My coffee was delicious and the view is relaxing.
Thank you, we appreciate your 5 star rating! We hope to see you soon!
Really enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere. Views of the river were great, and the café itself is pretty cute. Plenty of options for the friend I was with who doesn't drink coffee.
Went during Sailfest so the place was crowded but we found a table on the deck for the 5 of us. Coffee was wonderful and my ricotta egg sandwich delicious. Someone even sketched my image and gave it to me as a keepsake.
Quaint place. SUPER friendly staff. Locally roasted coffee,. Mainly sandwiches and pastries. Had the Grinder, Tuna Melt and Roast Beef and Chicken Noodle Soup. Also had the Raspberry Crumble. All were very tasty with fresh ingredients. Sat on the back deck overlooking the river…also right...next to the passenger tracks. Enjoyed the scenery. Highly recommend this place!More
We traveled by rail from Boston to New London in order to get to Foxwoods. We had some time to kill so we walked around the corner from the station and chose Muddy Waters cafe to eat. What a wonderful experience! They had a variety...of pastries and sandwiches to order with beverages and we were very impressed by the service and quality of our food! I had a pesto chicken sandwich that could have fed two people and a tall coffee. My wife ate a delicious pastry. It was so nice that on our return journey we stopped there again and enjoyed another top notch meal. The only regret was the Winter weather prevented us sitting outside on the deck but the inside is cosy and interesting and we enjoyed every minute. Clearly it was also popular with locals because it was busy both times we visited. Well worth it.More
Thank you so much, so happy to hear you had a great time with us! We hope to see you soon :))
On November 8th it was still pleasant enough to eat outside on their deck. I got the Lust Salad and it was bigger thab ever. A ton of tomatoes, olives, pimentos, cheese and good lettuce. My wife got a chicken sandwich with cheese and pesto....Both were delicious. Service was excellent and their prices great.More
