This is one place where we love to have lunch after we have been to Dr. appointments in New London! Even in the winter, the atmosphere & the food is wonderful. In the warm weather, we eat out on their deck that overlooks the Thames River & the AMTRAC railroad.

So the 8 of us were wondering the New England harbor village of New London, CT looking for a good place for lunch. Foreign foods did not set well with us on State St. when someone said they saw Muddy Waters Cafe on Trip advisor and its just around the corner on Bank St. So in less than a minute... More

A great downtown place for breakfast and lunch, with really good sandwiches, coffees and desserts, The deck is fun in warm weather except that it overlooks the railroad tracks and when the trains go by, there goes conversation. On the other hand, looking across the river (if one ignores Electric Boat, where submarines are made) gives a view of small... More

Muddy Waters offers the absolute best coffees, lunch options, and everything is served by the friendliest staff you could ever find in a small cafe. Their Love and Lust salads are great, especially when paired with the most delicious tomato soup you will ever slurp. And the garlic bread! If I don't have time to stop and eat, I try... More

An intimate, eclectic space with great casual food. The deck is fantastic in nice weather! A favorite spot for locals to gather.

We go here everytime I go to New London. My daughters, who are at a local college frequent Muddy Waters. Very Fresh and good service. Lots of selection for coffee and tea

If your anybody in town or the state for that matter you conduct business at Muddy Waters. It's a local favorite owned by the father of you-tuber Casey Neistat whose grandmother also happened to be a rocket I believe. Either way good coffee and pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The decor is cool and it's the place for The Who's who... More

If only all meatless burgers tasted this good... This is by far the best vegetarian burger I've ever eaten and there is no doubt we will be back to Muddy Waters cafe. We stopped to order takeout for our ferry ride to Long Island, devoured the burgers once we boarded the ferry, and I immediately opened up my TA app... More

Wonderful coffee shop with awesome baked goods and coffee to die for!! I had a cinnamon roll latte and it both smelled and tasted EXACTLY like a fresh baked roll! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. A refreshing break from the typical Starbucks.

We were looking for a place to have a mid-morning cup of coffee and a slice of cake. Muddy Waters was the only café we spotted on lower Bank street so we popped in. The girls behind the counter were pleasant. We were expecting a little more helpfulness though when asking about the various sweet confections. We ordered and sat... More
