Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a great little cafe in Claygate. We've descended on it a few times as a group of families with small children meeting for coffee and breakfast, and they are so accommodating and the food is great. Alex is particularly helpful finding space for the...prams and bringing colouring crayons for the kids! Would highly recommend!!More

Always a great option for a quick and tasty meal. The kids love coming here and the pancakes are a big hit. Been coming here for years - no complaints

Used to come here years ago before it changed management. Glad I returned. It’s a great place - decorated in a modern but homely way, and now with a loo you don’t have to go outside to thank goodness. Food freshly made and a good...choice of sandwiches, quiche, savouries and even chips. Homemade Rocky road is an artery bursting treat. Front staff are excellent - young, efficient and really friendly. So shout out to Joey, Will and Tegan - they’re lucky to have you. Really recommend this place to have lunch or coffee and relax.More

I'm a regular here for a take away ciabatta, the roasted vegetable and humus ones are really excellent. Good scotch eggs and great cakes. An asset to the parade.

Served today by a young woman who was not very friendly at all. Thought it was just me but noticed her sarcastic and sullen service to others whilst waiting. Perhaps some retraining or maybe she was just having a bad day!

We come here all the time to pick up a coffee and pastry before a country walk. Staff are always incredibly friendly, homemade pastries are gorgeous, and the coffee is the best for miles. Fantastic local gem - so lucky to have it!

The food & coffee cannot be faulted in the slightest... Food tasted incredibly fresh, healthy and very flavourful with generous portions. The coffee is probably the best I’ve tried, incredible taste and didn’t want it to end... Service was okay, needs improvement hence why I...gave a 4*. One waiter was very friendly and helpful but 2 of the waitresses were a little unwelcoming. Service was a little delayed than what I would’ve expected. I would definitely go back here for the great food & coffee and recommend.... great local gem!More

Second time I have been to this quaint cafe. It’s very popular with a lovely menu. This time I had Poached Eggs in Granary Toast, delicious. Next time I’m in the country I will return.

The staff are rude and definitely need a lesson on how to be polite to customer. They seem to work only half a day most of the time. It’s a shame this cafe is using up a spot which definitely can be run by someone...else which will be open full day.More

Needed a brekast having driven over from Gatwick and tried here. What a find. Superb and friendly service; pastries were warm straight out of the oven. Lovely atmosphere with the best coffee I have had in ages.
