Everything is so fresh, made to order. This takes time but it's worth it. Convienently, you can call in your order to save a bunch of time.

I like Jakes because you can customize your burger with a wider variety of toppings than is available at most fast food burger joints. Also their fries are above average. A better more interesting alternative to the big chains.

Just burgers, but the best burgers! Made on the spot, juicy, quality beef. Hot dogs, fries, and shakes, too, but the burgers are the star. Went there once during a townwide power outage--they were still there, with a generator, making those wonderful burgers.

They have a great selection of odd burger combinations if you like that kind of thing (think marinara sauce etc). always have a new burger of the month. you can also do the triple triple challange if you can eat 9 burger patties! anyways, food is good. burgers and fries are not greasy like 5 guys.. you can actually finish... Burgers are awash in grease - I mean, run down your forearms greasy - and I generally feel a bit bilious after "dining" at Jake's. My son and I occasionally go in - hoping it will improve. It hasn't. Rather take another 20 minutes and drive to 5 Guys in Canton/Avon. My question is, "Wayback where?"

I finally checked out this burger joint, and was very disappointed. The burger was greasy, and the guy who made it poured tons of some kind of horrid BQ sauce on it. I had a small kiddie burger, and it cost over five bucks! A side of onion rings would have been more, but they forgot my order. They ended... More

The food tasted ok, but was very greasy. Staff is not properly trained on cleaning and sanitary procedures and for this reason, I refuse to go in there again. One man was cleaning a number or tables with the same damp rag, never once cleaning it out, using cleaner/disinfectant, etc. The same habits appeared behind the counter. Floor had a... More

Here is a burger place off the sin drag in Torrington with very high prices for burgers and such!, Just check the menu before you bring the family because a night out with a couple kids will cost you a lot more than you would think by looking at the outside of this place or walking in.....Bring your bigger wallet!!

I had been hearing many stories about how good these burgers were and was very happy when I drove by this place by mistake last week. The staff was very friendly, food takes a couple minutes to come out but that's because it's made fresh to order. Very tasty burgers! They even have a selection of 4 beers on tap... More
