My wife and I found ourselves in West Hartford Center and ended up at La Petite France for lunch. The restaurant has a basic, old world charm with older mismatched tables and chairs. While the food was good, our experience was made even better by...More
This funky little spot is a great place to satisfy a need for French treats. Go to the counter and ogle all the sweet delights, make your selection and then choose a seat at the many oddly mismatched tables and chairs. It's all very bohemian...More
Petite France is a great place for a croissant. In the morning the ham and egg croissant is fantastic and the coffee is really good. I can't say I have had lunch there, but given the quality of the croissants I'll bet it is really...More

Great bakery with a lovely French owner striving for excellence in quality and service. This is really the only bakery in town with real French pastries, and our favorite place to go for morning coffee, croissants, and the NY Times.
from the outside looks to be a very nice place, but not many options and not many french dishes to choose from. is like a small town bakery that wanted to try, but didn´t make it. sorry.
I was really looking forward to a french pastry and cafe au lait and was somewhat disappointed at the possible lack of freshness and cold cafe. I wouldn't recommend this to highly.
Tried a couple of their delicious and flaky pastries. Yummy! A tiny shop with a couple of tables, but worth a stop and get something to go.
