One of the best pubs / restaurant I've ever visited!

This evening I decided to treat my wife to a few drinks with relaxing music. This wife needed this after a long week at work... We had a few drinks, which were served excellently by barpeople James and Tasha, followed by a slight amount of dancing. The music from the Juke Box is able to be chosen by the customer! After a little while we could smell the Indian restaurant which made out taste buds water. We were served by the owner of the restaurant, Alom, and the food was out of this world! I've never tasted anything so fresh, so filling and just amazing! The man breeds were fluffy and full of taste, the main Tikka Masala was out of this world! I could not hope to visit a better combination or pub and restaurant! Well done guys! I will most certainly re-visit.

Beautiful meal with friends

We ate here last week after last visiting a few years ago. The bar staff were really happy and helpful and when we got to the restaurant the waiting staff were also so polite, good humoured and friendly. The food tasted amazing and we would definitely go back - no grease, all fresh and super tasty and for a reasonable price.

Great Food, Great Service, Great family evening

Walking in we were met by a barrage of "hello" and "how are you" - I thought the staff were just friendly but when the customers began to greet my dad as well I knew he spent a lot of time in the bar... He usually has a takeaway but since there were two of us and we hadn't been out for dinner for a while we decided to dine in. The food was delicious! My dad has eaten almost everything on the menu but tried the prawn puree and the King prawn house special and I had calamari puri and King prawn Jalfrezi. We shared both dishes and double up on naan and side dishes - it was fantastic . I admit to eaten a little too much sometimes and this was fulfilled here - I was brought a sample of chicken tikka which had obviously been cooked with fresh mint and coriander (hence the green color.) It was lovely be out and about again and I couldn't recommend anywhere better for food, service or atmosphere.

Disappointing Takeaway 'Meal'

New to this takeaway service, we made the mistake of ordering the Delhi Spice Special - "Our own carefully selected meal made from the finest ingredients, simply order & be surprised". We were surprised; at £12.95 a portion - basically £26 for two of us, we'd expected rather more than a small (500ml) snap top containers each containing a modest individual portion of a mixed curry dish. There were a couple of tiny sauce tubs and poppadums, but that was it. Tasty enough, but without rice or even a naan bread, it was a very small meal indeed for £26. Okay, probably our bad for not ordering rice as well (another £4.60 for two). Basically, a very expensive takeaway indeed, at restaurant prices. Not a mistake we'll make again! .

Had high hopes from reading other reviews but were very disappointed. Friendly enough staff but the place needs some serious cleaning, dust everywhere and food on the floor under tables . The food was pretty bad, chewy chicken and the sauce on my prawn dish was like the curry sauce you used to get in chinese takeaways in the 1970s. And full of MSG. Also as the restaurant is in the pub the atmosphere is strange, you can hear conversations of people in the pub, they really need to put some doors on. Sorry but won't be returning

An Indian with Open Plan, access to a pub, genius!

Who ever thought that an Indian restaurant with an archway without doors, leading directly into a pub, would not only be a good idea, but actually be a real hidden gem of a restaurant! I’ve lived in Maidstone for nearly 8 years and didn’t know this place existed, but will definitely be going back again. You can access the Indian from within the rose pub or via the side entrance from the car park. Service is as expected with an Indian restaurant, excellent waiter service and relaxed atmosphere with the sounds of the pub jukebox playing in the background. Never before have I experienced a full Indian meal with the sounds of the Beatles and Frankie Goes to Hollywood playing loudly across the restaurant! Food was lovely, really fragrant and perfectly spiced for what we ordered. The bill came to £60 for the two of us, including two drinks each, a starter and main course with breads and rice. Ample parking spaces to the left of the pub directly outside the restaurant. Very quiet at 7pm on a Monday evening.

Not up to usual standard! Flies......

I have been visiting Delhi Spice for a quite a few years now and the food is always lovely, service can be hit and miss depending on the level of trade. This time however there was a new problem, small fruit flies which were everywhere. On arrival people were being moved from their tables due to this issue. Also everyone that was already seated had to keep clapping their hands to get of the buggers! This was quite disconcerting as there was no music playing and so consequently was quite loud. Not sure why this is happening but it was pretty disgusting tbh. A restaurant full of flies albeit that they are small flies is pretty rank!

Delicious food and great service!

Went for a Christmas lunch with friends and had a lovely meal! The food was so tasty and fresh, really flavoursome. My favourite was the vegetarian rogan josh which was just amazing 😋. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!

A delight.

We live so near but always went into town to eat or used town based town based delivered for Indian meals. Not any more! The best Indian meal we've ever eaten and we and our friends have eaten many over the years. The service was friendly andb impeccable plus the final bill was very reasonable. All in all highly recommended. Thanks to the staff and management at the Delhi Spice...we shall be back.

Hurry up, we want to close!

Booked a table for 5 at 19.00 on a Sunday night. The website states closing time 22.00. We had started to finish our food at 20.00, but some of our party were still eating. The staff started clearing our plates, whilst people were still eating, they then stood around staring at us in a “hurry up, we want to close, kind of way” . We were out of there by 20.30, I hate being rushed. The Methi Lamb. Lamb lovely and tender. Definitely not enough fenugreek in it and way to hot with chilli. If it did have any fresh fenugreek in it you would not be able to taste it. All in all a bit disappointing.

Simply the best!

We went to Delhi Spice on Friday night and were blown away by the personal service and spectacular food. They have gone to such effort to make things safe. The menu is extensive, and the food simply the best Indian food you can get. Highly highly recommend!

Fantastic Evening

We arranged to have an evening out with family and very close friends after a while away. The evening started with a few drinks in the bar and then we were shown to our table at the time booked. To get the meal underway we had popadoms and chutneys while we perused the menu and then ordered. The food arrived in a timely manner and all together which for 9 people was very commendable. The standard of the food was superb with good portions and all piping hot, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food that is of the highest quality that I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you to Alum and the other waiters and chef, brilliant and we will look forward to seeing you again very soon.

Very good food good portions and very helpful and friendly service. There was a good selection on the menu to choose from at reasonable prices a few unusual recipes as well. All in all we enjoyed our experience and easily return for another meal.

A warm welcome at the Delhi Spice

The Delhi Spice hosted a family/friends get together for us in the attached garden on Saturday 8th July. Nothing was too much trouble. The food provided was a mixture of English/Asian and was all deliciously hot. The pub bar was also well served with very little wait time to be served. Can recommend this as a friendly place to consider for get togethers. Staff very friendly.

Very bland and tasteless

I was waiting for long time to try this Curry house. I have been living in Bearsted for more than 9 years. I was very disappointment. No flavour, not salt, all the dishes tasted the same even my peshwary Nan was not right ☹️ the yogurt sauce looked like a bit of milk with corn flour.... my started chicken tikka was ok only the marination was in different spices, suppose to be red not yellow colour that is how I releases is not tikka .....the salad and poppadoms were nice 😊. I think they need to taste the floor before dispatch.
