Beautiful holiday afternoon walk around Lewes ended us in front of Touch of Italy. Too early to eat as we had just finished breakfast. We went in to check out the deli counter . It is amazing . We quickly decided we must have a piece of the luscious looking cheese cake to go . A very wise decision indeed.... More

Touch of Italy is one of those restaurants that you can go to and be pretty confident that what you are served is good decent food Very traditional heavier Italian food. Gnocchi's are great! Sauce is good and so are the aps. I've never been wowed! but I have never been disappointed. Pocketbook friendly and great place for a larger... More

Hi DClarke Thanks for taking the time to write in. As a regular, I'm disappointed we haven't "wow"'d you yet. Why don't you reach out to me next time you will be coming in and I'll connect you with someone who will be responsible from that date on to be your personal "wow" person, ok? I'm serious about this, by... More

Small bistro type restaurant like the ones we are accustomed to dining in in Europe. Decor reminiscent of these European family restaurants. Comfortable! Service very courteous and professional (Alex and Craig). House salad exceptional - mixed greens, grape/cherry tomatoes, sweet onions, olives, cukes , etc. served with home made sweet/sour vinaigrette. Fresh Parmesan delivered when requested. Hearty portion size. Entrees... More

thank you for taking the time to write in. We like to think of a visit to Touch of Italy as an "Italian Experience" - recently nicknamed "ItaliaNation". Why do I say that? Because a true Italian Experience is not like a visit to Olive Garden. Every true Italian has their own twist on every sauce, seasoning, recipe and so... More

As soon as we walked in the door, the smells and aroma filled the air! It reminded us of our Italian Market in Washington, DC. The staff was so accommodating. Everyone was extremely friendly. We heard the "Godfather" music playing in the background while we enjoyed our Italiano cold cut sandwiches, delicious salad and rolled eggplant for lunch. Everything was... More

My wife and I get down to Lower Slower Delaware at least ten weekends a year. During the last three or so years we discovered A Touch Of Italy. We have had many of the options on the menu. Their salads are excellent. Their pasta dishes wonderful. We are not big pizza people, but we are at A Touch Of... More

About as good as Italian gets in Delaware - And pretty good at that! Quite knowledgeable staff behind the counter. Wonderful selection of deli cheeses and meats.

We went there just before closing. The waitress was great and not put out at all. The food was great and came out in a timely manner. I felt like a kid again in my favorite Italian deli in Baltimore. The canoli's for dessert was the best treat. We will be back.

Good Italian food and great service. The chicken parmigiana is my husband's favorite. They have an excellent wine list and fantastic desserts. Carry out is available and the sandwiches and Italian pastries are delicious.

Although it is not a large venue, it's worth the wait and close quarters for the food. The pizzas are all fresh and tasty. All of the display cases of meats, cheeses and pastries make your mouth water.

I picked up a bagful of takeout meals and drove 20 minutes to the family dinner. First out of the bag was the "penne marinara, NO CHEESE." My daughter is lactose intolerant, and we had asked whether the spaghetti sauce contained cheese. The answer was yes, BUT they offered to use the cheese-free pizza sauce instead. Great, right? Not quite.... More

Hi RH - I owe you two apologies! The first one is that I took too long to respond to your post. One of our internal sayings to live-by is that it's important to do well for all of our guests, but we really shine when we screw up and make up for it. In the few instances where we... More

Touch of Italy was born out of two Italian family traditions that trace back to the late 1800's. These two families trace their roots to the beautiful Marche and Abruzzo regions in Central Italy, where one can find rich cultural traditions and recipes passed down from generation to generation. Touch of Italy first opened in the fall of 2010 in Lewes, Delaware and proudly runs five locations in Ocean City, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, serving fresh items like handmade mozzarella cheese, pasta, pizza, cookies and crispy bread, as well as high quality imported items from Italy. Touch of Italy is proud to bring the Italian tradition to costal Delaware and Maryland, and pay tribute to our ancestors, who imparted to us a love of food and family.
