Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really pleasant stay. Every member of staff was helpful and went the extra mile to look after us. The room was very comfortable, quiet and the food was excellent. We had the tasting menu which was delicious, but not at all pretentious. Would definitely recommend...as a good place to stay and eat.More

We had an amazing Valentine's Day meal at the Coach and Horses. We booked to have the 5 course tasting menu, and they made a dairy free version for me, which was perfect! Lovely cosy bar and the staff were really accommodating. Thanks for a...great evening!More

Stayed overnight for an early Valentine treat. We stayed in Rose and it was an absolutely gorgeous room. We had the Sunday roast which was exceptional! Breakfast was amazing too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely return xx

We stayed in the Henry room which was excellent , nice big bath and Lovely shower , it was spotlessly clean , the pub is really nice with real fires and its own micro brewery , very relaxing place to sit and have a drink..., the food was very nice , we went a la carte and not the tasting menu and enjoyed every dish especially the cheese board which is something else , I’ve got to say though that breakfast was probably the best ive had in a hotel , it’s a pre order breakfast which I don’t normally like but I understand the logic for doing it but my word it was good , I had eggs royale and my wife the full English and it was simply amazing defo a 10/10 , the staff were really friendly and will go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable, although not the cheapest I will definitely be booking to come back in summer ,More

We had the 8 course tasting menu. It was great. The courses small (as they should be) and very tasty. We'd had enough by the time we'd finished. The pub itself is a cosy country pub with a log fire by the bar. We stopped...over and the room was excellent. I cant praise this place enough.More

From the moment we walked through the door the service was excellent the pub has the cosy country feel that helps you destress as soon as you are showed to the bar area. We opted for the taster menu at £65 per person and it...was worth every penny all six courses were excellent and even though we were quite full we couldn't resist the optional cheese course at £14.50 and I have so glad we did. Every course has different flavours and each course is explained by the waiting on staff overall the all experience was fantastic and can't wait to go backMore

Great food - we tried the tasting menu, which was a delight - and stayed over in a fantastic room (Mouse). The staff are friendly, efficient and lovely and the location is beautiful, even in the rain. Breakfast was excellent too! Highly recommended.

Top class food, whether you’re having breakfast, dinner or snacks in between. Very varied menu choice for all courses. Superb, friendly service and lovely decor. Far too good to be classified as pub food. Don’t hesitate to give it a try!

This was our third stay at this wonderful hotel. The one word to describe the food, rooms and staff is ‘quality’. We were, once again, made to feel incredibly welcome. The room was very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a great stay....The six course tasting menu was fantastic and the chef had taken a lot of thought in preparing such an interesting and tasty combination of dishes. I particularly enjoyed several pints of the ‘Imperial Blonde’ beer which is brewed on the site - it really is a fantastic beer! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we’ll definitely be back.More
