Arrived tired, hot and weary, after a walk in this beautiful area, to be given a lovely welcome by the proprietor. We sat in the garden and were quickly served with a big pot of tea. Our sandwiches soon arrived - I can highly recommend the pork, stuffing and apple. We finished off with the best scones, cream and jam... More

We ate here twice last week. The first time I eat afternoon tea with a friend, and it was very good and filling. Cakes to die for and lovely mango and banana smoothie and interesting soup. Lovely attentive staff. Then my husband and I had Sunday lunch. It was superb. Very good value for money. Again the staff were very... More

We have called here a few times for tea and cakes. Everything is home made and they stay open quite late which is handy if you are passing by.

Me and my girlfriend had an absolutely brilliant time here, first of all we were welcomed with open arms in to the cosy little dining room. Both the waitress and the owner were extremely polite and didn't make us wait too long at all. The portions were great value for money as we had the full English breakfast, what a... More

Me and my work mate stopped in at the tea rooms hoping for a little bite for dinner after dropping 48 people off at Gisburn forest but the tea rooms where closed on that day and the man in the shop offerd to open it up and feed the two of us and after that we got a pack of... More

After a walk to the summit of Beacon Fell, we popped in here for a welcome snack. The blackboard menu offered an extensive selection but we decided on the tea and a scone. Ample tea; a huge teapot and hot water too. Then large fruit scones, butter, jam and cream. Just perfect ! The tearoom is unpretentious, an annexe to... More

My elderly mum and I stopped in Bolton-by-Bowland to eat a picnic and parked on the lane outside this teashop, being careful not to block the entrance, and in a public space not a private one. We planned to pop into the tearoom for a cuppa and cake after a little walk. The proprietor stormed out and aggressively said "are... More

Called for a snack lunch with another couple during brief visit to the area. We only wanted sandwiches and a cuppa but were treated like royalty. From the warm smiles and genuine interest from the young women serving ['where have you been/where are you off to next'] to the offer of top - ups by the man[owner/manager?] it simply couldn't...
