We showed up and gave our name and in less than 5 minutes we had a table and were ordering. Small place but great food. Would recommend anytime you are in crystal river.

Got this place recommended to us for breakfast. When we got here we got lucky and a table was available. I had the chocolate chip pancake and scrambled eggs. It was really good. This is just a local diner with great home cooking.

Based on a recommendation,we tried Grannies. Place looked busy,so so. Coffee came out in a dirty cup, waitress didn't seem surprised. Eggs again just so so,potatoe's skimpy ,not hot. Sausage overdone. Never again.

Grannies breakfast was ok. By the people waiting outside, you would have thought the food would be better than average. Again, due to the people waiting, we felt pressured to hurry up and eat and leave.

We were in Crystal River this weekend and found Grannies on Trip Advisor and gave it a try. Very glad we did. Excellent food, great service, good value and exactly as everyone said on here. If we go back to Crystal River we would definitely eat here again. One of the best omelettes I ever have had.

Our family had breakfast here. The food was true southern cooking and delicious. So many choices! The staff are very friendly and timely. The restaurant was very busy, however the service was quick and friendly and the food came out faster than I thought it would.

Best home cooking in the area. Breakfast was outstanding! Largest piece of ham ever! Staff was super friendly and quick to accommodate. Owner, Tim, came out to check on us. He too, was very friendly and truly concerned about the customer's satisfaction. Highly recommend this place!

If you aren't looking for fancy dining and just want good southern cooking this is the place. Don't bother to look any farther. I've eaten here for 7 years and never been disappointed. On a holiday or weekend you might have to wait a bit, but it is worth it.

Happened upon this restaurant enroute back to Alabama from Tampa. It was packed but we only had to wait a minute and would have been worth a long wait!! Service was friendly efficient! Food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend stopping here -grits omelets vegetables -you name they cook it to perfection!!
