After reading a lot of reviews about this restaurant I have to say it was better than I expected. My wife and I both had steak dinners. Our steaks were prepared as ordered. The wait staff brought our party of 5 everything in a timely manner. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We tried some of the Gator nuggets and they were... More

This is a typical small town restaurant. Our waitress started out a bit on the "cold" side, but quickly warmed up to our party. The food was good for the price, and there are lots of interesting collectibles that cover the walls, making it worth one's time to explore the restaurant for a bit.

A classic old restaurant in Everglade city that has old world through back ambience. The food (mostly fried) is quite good. The fried oysters are the best we've had in ages and worth the trip. Stone crabs are the same all over.

We chose this place because after driving through the town it looked about to be the best available. It's very quaint restaurant - perhaps a throwback to the 40s or the 50's....we had New England clam chowder - the spoon stood straight up! Stone crab was on the menu so we ordered a half a pound of that along with... More

We went here today as part of a bus tour from our community. This place is fascinating! So much on the walls to keep your interest. We pulled in with 2 bus loads of people, they knew we coming, but the service and food was fantastic! Definitely would stop here again! Don't miss the food and experience! Best alligator bites... A stop at this restaurant was included as part of our tour. Make sure you at least try the alligator, it's actually very good. The rest of the food and service was excellent as well and we'd have no hesitation going back.

Enjoyed a decent supper here tonight. Food and service were good but not impressive. Started with New England clam chowder and followed by Pow-Pow shrimp appetizer. Both were good. Service was distracted. Interesting decor has lots of local history among other themes.

From the outside this restaurant looks like many others in south Florida. Inside it is very different. The walls a covered with many photos of people who have eaten here, newspaper clippings, awards, and an extensive taxidermy collection. And the food is very good and the service excellent.

We went for dinner when staying in Everglades City - its one of a very few places open in the evening. Our big disappointment was that they had run out of stone crabs which was really what we had gone for. We tried alligator and fried green tomatoes as appetisers - there was so much we could barely make an... More

This is an odd place to say the least, in a good way though. The place has a lot of taxidermied critters as well as a lot of strange memorabilia. Not only that, the food is excellent as well. We sat at the bar which is in a separate room and had appetizers there. The portions are large and the... More
