We eat here all the time when visiting the island. Its by far the best breakfast on the island. The crab hash is excellent. The cakes they make are to die for and well worth the money.

Sometimes on out of town trips, one must escape from pricey hotel restaurant breakfasts or the pathetic free breakfasts offered in the mainstream chains. One always can deal with a good mom'n'pop local diner. Fortunately for us, Ms Carolyns was a recommendation. We were thoroughly pleased. While I am not a fan of grits, the waitress offered that they served... More

What a treat. We shared a build your own omelette. It was the biggest omelette we have ever seen! Tasty too. The service was excellent, coffee hot and cinnamon rolls to die for. Definitely will return with my family.

This was our first visit for lunch. The service was good even though the waitress seemed to be the only one working the floor. The French Dip sandwich of OK, a bit tough and the homemade bread didn’t stand up to the sauce dipping. A more firm sub-type roll would work better. The Ruben was good but again it could... More

You need to be looking for Ms. Carolyn's to find it. It is truly a diner with great breakfast and lunch. The place is usually filled with locals who appreciate decent chow and fair prices. The service was good and the menu was loaded with first-rate "diner food". Biscuits and gravy, omlets, grits...everything you would expect and done very well.

We had breakfast here on January 4, 2017 and although many others rated it highly, I just rate it at mediocre. The omelet was just ok in quality and portion size. My brother had their blueberry pancakes and said they were delicious. Service was good and it was easy to find. Prices were reasonable. Quite honestly, I've had better breakfasts... More

You seat yourself which was just...different. Decent size place, staff is friendly and helpful. Corned beef hash dish was great. Ordered pancakes with blueberries and bananas on the inside...slammin! My wife ordered something with smoked sausage. We're local so we'll proly return.

Best breakfast place in Amelia. Excellent food and local flavor. Service was also great once you get a table.

This place was crowded for a Christmas Eve at 9AM, but the service and food are the reason why. Both are excellent......great portions, friendly staff, definitely worth a return trip....
