Had a fabulous meal at this wonderful place. The Service was great. I had a delicious pork sandwich with cheese and sautéed onions. My friends had steak tacos, chicken Caesar, and a steak sandwich. The Sangria was refreshing and the beer was ice cold. We enjoyed the jazz guitarist.

Went to Chimney House after a Sunday matinee at the Broward Center. Restaurant is right across the street so it is an easy walk. We sat outside on the patio. The menu is fairly small but definitely has a South American flair. Prices are a tad high, but I suppose typical for the area. The service was very good. Our... More

As a solo female patron I felt very safe and comfortable eating alone at a table. Most of the time I'll go to a bar and eat so I won't "feel the uncomfortable stares". The servers were pleasant and cordial. I had the octupus which was accompanied by a small salad I wasn't expecting. It was quite tasty and the... More

when asked for well done, one wouldn't expect red meat when cut into, then re-cooked and now pink, lots of fat rubbery, sent back and was tried to be appeases with flan, how insulting, never again

Found this place by accident. But Oh so glad we did! When we walked in, the aroma, oh man, just pulled us in. Everything smelled so good it was difficult to decide what to get. So, we each got something different and shared! Pulled pork special and burgers were all GREAT. If I go back to Fort Lauderdale I will... More

Nice setting, especially if you could get outside. Definitely have reservations if it is a theater night as we got the last table at 5:45. Probably a good idea no matter what as they will block the table for you it seems even if others could have eaten and left before you show. The better half loved the roja vieja.... More

So this was my second time here. I came once when the place first opened and loved it. So I recommend it to my girl friends and we all went for lunch. The waitress was rude when I told her that I had an allergy and she never brought me a different side dish. Then when the bill came, 20%... More

The food and service was very good. We arrived at a busy time right before a theater preformance. I would recommend reservations at that time, but the meal came out quickly even though we were not going to the theater. We had a Peruian fried seafood dish and shreaded beef. Both good.

Convenient to Broward Center for Performing Arts. Good menu selection and prices. The Spinach Empanadas, ceviche de la casa and Ropa Vieja were fantastic. The homemade red sangria was delicious. I will be back.

We are a Latin American Grill & Cafe housed in a restored 1924 historic house in downtown Fort Lauderdale, in Sailboat Bend. We are located just west of the Broward Center for Performing Arts. Our Food is Latin American with an emphasis on quality ingredients -- we strive to bring the best dishes of Latin America to your table in a casual and inviting atmosphere. The idea of restoring this historic, derelect house into a restaurant started with a projected completion time of 2 years and finally took 6 (SIX) years to complete. Our goal was to createa Neighborhood restaurant on the West side of the Las Olas area (in Historic Sailboat Bend) with a strong focus on quality food in a casual yet beautiful environment. Our Food menu showcases the best dishes of South America and Spain like Ceviches, Arroz Marinerro (Paella), and lighter fare like Empanadas, Fish Tacos, and Steak Sandiwches. Come experience the charm of this old home and join us for Lunch or Dinner Tuesday thru Saturday, or for Sunday Brunch. Or just come by and have some coffee (Lavazza is served), or sip some wine, a House Sangria, or a Pint of our Draft Beer.
