We had 2 pizzas to go. Called ahead and we were given a time of 1/2 an hour. Got there as they were coming out of the oven. Staff was very friendly. Place was clean. Couple of outside tables to sit. Kind of prices but it was good. They have iced tea and such but very limited on smaller soda... More

Found this place on vacation accidentally just looking for a quick slice of pizza for lunch. Large slices on a lunch special hit the spot. We returned later in the week for pizzas for the family, garlic knots, risotto mix (which btw looks like explosives on TSA X-ray machine; yes we got searched). Frank the owner is an Italy born... This is our third visit over the past three years and every year it's the same. It's not the best cuisine but it's convenient and offers pick up service. I not certain but I believe it's family ran cause there's always some yelling or back biting between father, wife and I believe son. It's a weird arrangement but I guess... More

Working from their online menu, we ordered two slices of pizza, and two medium pizzas to go. The order-taker grumbled about the two slices, then insisted they didn't do "medium" pizzas only 12". The online menu has seven references to "medium" and only three to 12". We collected because they were too busy to deliver. The pizzas were awful! My... More

As a small, family-owned establishment, we are always interested in our guests’ opinions and, when possible, will attempt to alleviate any concerns. First, both our dough and sauce are made fresh daily, using the same, authentic, Italian-style recipes for nearly 40 years. While we are sorry you did not enjoy the pizza, we wish you had addressed your issue with... More

We stumbled upon this deli and pizzeria while waiting for a seat at another restaurant. We were glad we chose to eat here instead! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The owner was behind the counter and he made sure we were happy with our experience. We had calzone--it was outstanding.

First and likely last time we will eat at Francesco's. We ordered a medium deluxe thin crust pizza, waited about 40minutes before it was brought to our table. We had a strong impression that they were short staffed and disorganized. The pizza crust was overdone and it was too salty and greasy.

While we are sorry you did not enjoy your experience, Francesco’s will never trade time for quality. Fresh, made-to-order food has been our modus operandi for nearly 40 years. During the season, we always encourage our guests, who may have a time crunch, to call ahead to ensure as little of a wait as possible. More

Well it's Good Friday in Ft Myers and we needed a meatless meal. Francesco's Italian Deli fit the bill. Authentic large slice pizza...cheese slices today of course. The Razzano family has a great all around deli, complete with deli sandwiches, subs, calzones, pizza and ice cream. Small quaint seating inside with outdoor seating also.

Gentleman (owner) and younger guy making pizza were extremely nice. Lady making sandwiches, not so much. Pizza was promised in 15-20 minutes but took 45. Sadly, after much anticipation, the pizza was a very big disappointment...WAY too much garlic on the pizza. Feel bad for the owner because he was super nice, but be won't be back. I was starved... We have not gotten take out from Francesco's in many years. Last night we decided to call in an order for a Stromboli and a Philly Cheese Steak. Both were delicious. Description
If the food we serve is not fit for our table, you can rest assured it won't sit on yours... The history of Francesco's is a tale of two unique stories that eventually became one. Founded by Jimmy Greco on Beth Page, Long Island in 1958, the deli has served its guests with authentic Italian food for nearly 60 years. In 1978, Greco moved to Fort Myers Beach and renamed the deli Greco's Mousetrap Italian Delicatessen. Over the next two decades Greco's established itself as the preeminent Italian deli on Fort Myers Beach. Enter Francesco Razzano, Sr. In 1998, Razzano was looking for a new opportunity. Having recently sold his bar restaurant outside of Pittsburgh, PA, Francesco was tired of the cold winters and pondered a move south. When he learned of an Italian deli for sale in Fort Myers Beach, Razzano jumped at the chance to fulfill a life long dream. Born in Cervino, (Caserta) Italy, Francesco immigrated with his family to Ellwood City, PA in 1955. While he never forgot his heritage, Razzano embraced the opportunities his adopted country afforded him. Following service in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, Francesco settled in Midland, PA where he owned and operated Frankie's Tavern for nearly twenty years. Even though Frankie's wasn't an Italian restaurant, Razzano never forgot his roots. It certainly wasn't unusual to find Francesco in the kitchen making an impromptu homemade pizza or filleting smelts for his patrons. Since acquiring the deli in 1998, it has been Francesco's goal is to provide his guests with the finest Italian cuisine using the same recipes he was raised with.
