I know this is a local fave, but it's so dirty and grimy. Bird droppings where I eat? No thanks! The staff are all really great, the food isn't anything special. They have good bands and entertainment. That's about all I'd go for. Oh, and use a restroom before going there - the bathroom is gross.

Travelling from Miami and heading for Islamorada, we made a stopover to have lunch at Alabama Jack's at Key Largo. It's the most authentic restaurant you will ever get to know! Licence plates and dollar-bills wherever you look, great easygoing atmosphere with all kinds of different people. And if you don't know what to talk about anymore, the two of... More

Makes for cool pictures and Facebook check in. Looks and feels like a Keys-place-to-be. Lots of typical relics hanging on the wall. It has a very island feel to it. I bought a t-shirt. The stop is more for bragging rights than the actual food - it's pretty greasy.

We have stopped here before and think it is worth visiting. It is a little out of the way as you think you are lost but this little oasis pops up. Old bar that has bands during the day. Probably a lot of fishermen stop in. Food is not great. It is only open until 7 at night.

Awesome little side of the road place to stop in. Awesome atmosphere and great seafood. The Conch Fritters are awesome. Drinks are reasonable. Canal runs right behind the restaurant with water on both sides of the road. Will probably eat here again before we go back home.

Lucky to find a table for late lunch this past Friday. Good drinks and yummy mahi reuben sandwich. Waitress was OK...she had several tables and I had to flag her down to order another drink. Fun place to start a quick trip to the Keys!

We stopped on the way back from The Keys. Great ambience, live music, and good food. We had the coconut shrimp - excellent! - and the conch fritter - not our favorite, but apparently one of the best. Sides were all delicious. Service was friendly.

Not sure what was going on, but it appeared that the busboy was attempting to seat customers today. No host/hostess. We waited patiently for 35 minutes to be seated at a dirty table & very dirty chairs. A waitress finally asked us ten minutes later if she was our waitress or not then told us the kitchen was 1.5 hours... More

My Husband and I decided that on our way to Key West, we were going to stop in different places and try the conchs. Starting in Florida City on down, we realized that besides the conch fritter cart on Mallory Square, this place had the best ! we sat on the waterside, had nice cold beer and enjoyed our fritters.... My wife and kids have been going to Alabama Jack's for many years. It's been consistent over all this time: great drinks, good food, great service, great atmosphere. A very cool place to go on a weekend day for a couple beers and bar food. Not so sure about nights because it's quite a drive on some narrow dark roads.... More
