The food that we had was amazing! The BBQ shrimp app was outstanding as was the bread with pepper sauce. Both dinners were great as well. I had the Chicken strip sandwich and my girlfriend had the Cajun pasta. The only complaint I have was the service which I think was lacking. We had no defined waitress which may be... More

Ballyhoos has a really good seafood menu. Real close to the Hilton at Mile Marker 98. Little higher end food but worth the price.

Was visiting a friend and we traveled down to Key Largo for a dive trip. This restaurant had been recommended by a colleague in Orlando. Great service and decent appetizers. I ordered what I thought was going to be fried fish but it was a "whole deep fried fish" When it came my friend said, "I hope that's not mine."... More

Highly recommend the minipan mahi ($18 for the small, which was ample) - mahi in a flavorful cream sauce with shrimp, tomatoes and lots of garlic - this was delicious and I would order it again if I ever went back. My husband got a tuna steak ($27) and was disappointed, feeling it was previously frozen and tough. We had... More

We tried Ballyhoo's for the first time on Valentine's evening, 2017, and have been back every weekend since for the best seafood dishes we've found in Key Largo (and we've tried a large majority of KL restaurants over the years). I love the fact that they make their own ketchup (no high fructose corn syrup!) and are extremely sensitive to... More

The seafood primavera is top notch, but their pistachio encrusted hogfish is the best hogfish I've had any where. Also, I got it with the black beans and rice and it was super delicious. The homemade Key Lime Pie is a must eat after a great meal or if you just happen to want awesome Key Lime Pie. The meringue... More

This is definitely a place locals go. No one looked like tourists. The fried tomatoes and shrimp was great. Husband had mAhi mAhi. Daughter had blackened shrimp which was a bit too blackened. Service was good. Pricey in our opinion, but a very good meal.

Excellent Florida keys atmosphere and great food. Try the Hemingway (parmesan crust) yellow tail or the coconut hogfish. All the sides seasonings are home made and especially good. There's a Japanese pitch apple tree outside, also known as autograph tree and scotch attorney, if you care. Terrific and friendly service. You wouldn't expect it to be cheap and it's not.

Working in the restaurant business growing up every thing eventually tastes the same. Rarely do you come across food that tastes just absolutely exquisite. This place wowed me. They make everything from scratch from their lemonade to their ketchup.
