Had time before my night time party boat trip to get a quick dinner here and knew that it was going to be good before I even ordered since I have several friends who have eaten here every time they visit the Keys. The Spicy Bloody Mary was delicious especially with the salad of add ons they adorn it with.... More

Four adults enjoyed the black bean soup with house salad. Ample portions and very good flavor. Good setting.

So I should have know when the restaurant made us wait to sit and then wait to order until 11;30 even though breakfast was served. We ordered at 11:30 and left at 12;10 with no food after watching our waiter stand around doing absolutely nothing (including bringing us drinks and checking on us). Save yourself the frustration and drive over... More

I apologize you were upset about the wait. Our kitchen has a brief transition period from 11 to 11:30 so we can switch from breakfast to lunch, again I apologize for the delay. More

The restaurant sits in a little open market where they sell mainly art/craft items. The location on the edge of the Gulf is lovely although only being about 30 yds from US1 detracts a bit. Lively atmosphere and plenty to look at as you drink or dine but the food is, I'm afraid average. It's OK just hasn't got a... More

I apologize you were not pleased with the location, unfortunately traffic can occasionally be heard from the highway. As for the food, we have a very large menu with a wide variety of choices. Come back and give us another try, there's something for everyone. :) More

We rented a motorcycle on the last day of our long weekend on the Keys. I wanted one last meal of conch somewhere. I came across this place early afternoon. The cracked conch was delicious. My husband enjoyed the ahi tacos. The bar is loaded with dollar bills hanging all over the place. Very busy place. There was a 40... More

Interesting quirky place, we stopped for breakfast, which was ok, nothing really amazing. Wanted to go and stand on the dock after and watch people feeding the fish, but they wanted to charge us a dollar each, yeah right.

I apologize you were unhappy with our pricing. I encourage you to give us another try. If you let the cashier at the marina know you ate at the restaurant the entrance fee to the dock is waived. More

A basic breakfast care that serves great food. Always eat there before fishing with Capt. Eric Bass. Health potions and fairly priced. They also prepare awesome box lunches. Huge sandwiches. Try it.

We heard about this place from our waitress the night before we ventured there. It's a really fun place for kids. We took our 9 year old son to feed the huge tarpons. They were hungry for sure. At $3.40 for a bucket of fish it's enjoyable and affordable. We saw a nurse shark and he loved that. He's all... More

Love, love, love this place. The atmosphere is so laid back, tropical, and all around awesome. You'll feel like you're in the Caribbean. We had the best breakfast while watching the tarpon and pelicans. You can also feed the tarpon for free if you're dining there. A must to see if you visit Islamorada!

Description
In the Florida Keys you'll find this old Keys-style marina and fish shack "somewhere on A1A." A true conch atmosphere with many tasty delights, here in this Florida Keys restaurant you'll find yourself indulged in the Caribbean-inspired cuisine, the compassionate people and old Keys tranquility that is the Hungry Tarpon restaurant in Islamorada. The building has been standing since 1947 and with a home like Robbie's of Islamorada, plus a fascinating history, it all makes the Hungry Tarpon a part of the tradition since 1976. Enjoy dining on our bayside deck with tiki torches lighting up the night. Relax with friends over our fabulous appetizers and watch the boats come and go. Stroll our open air shops then wander to our sandy beach, melt into one of our bayside lounge chairs and let the sea air wash away the rush of the day.
