Small place with excellent food, I had the seafood pasta and it was unbelievable , Wife had braised lamb shank and kids had filet mignon- everyone thoroughly enjoyed! good little wine list as well- only thing bring your wallet! but well worth the price- only place to get upscale food ! We ate here on our first night in Islamorada and we loved our first Keys culinary experience! So many options for you to choose how you want your fresh fish to be prepared. You choose from a list of about 10 fish from the catch of the day. So fresh! We would recommend the mixed nuts with mango sauce option.... More

We went to Chef Michael's tonight for a friend's birthday dinner. What an amazing evening. From start to finish the evening was a 10+. Our server, Shelly, was personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. We stayed with appetizers..A special, Lionfish, was phenomenal.. cerviche was great (lobster and shrimp served in 1/2 coconut shell).. Rack of lamb, cooked to perfection; mutton snapper excellent,... Make sure you make reservations for this popular restaurant! The Keys are awash with great sea food but Chef Michael's takes it a step further! We tried the Lion Fish appetizer which came whole (don't worry poison sack was expertly removed) and the taste was amazing! My son (who is not a fan of fish) ordered the Hogfish and still... More

Great service and amazing food! We couldn't have had a better experience and will definitely be back! I even asked why doesn't anyone around just serve a grilled lobster tail and before I could finish the sentence, they said "with garlic butter?" I said YES! He said no problem, coming right up! Love this place and coming from Sarasota, FL... More

Again, Chef Michaels did not disappoint. I enjoyed the mutton snapper - Adriatic style. It was excellent. Sitting at the bar is always entertaining. Although you need a reservation for the bar! Nice wine list. Great service.

We love this restaurant. This is one place that we always go each time we take a road trip to the Keys. We were staying in cheeca Resort. We had another wonderful meal at Chef Michael's. Food was fresh and service provided by Luis was wonderful. The host was very gracious and expressed "how wonderful it was to see us"... More

We had a reservation and still had to wait about an hour for a table. They had booked two large parties within an hour of each other so we had to wait for the other people to be done. They did give us some free wine, but they were all opened bottles from the bar. After we were seated we... More

Excellent service and food from the bread to the coffee. We had never had lionfish, but on our waitress Kim's suggestion, we tried the lionfish appetizer, to our delight. The 'trilogy' is 3 different fish fillets, each served a different way. Each was great. My husband decided to take a break from seafood and chose the prime rib. Amazing! He... More

First time at Chef Michaels, and it was a winner from the start. We were met by friendly smiles at the door, and promptly seated on the veranda. Our waiter was very professional, and paced our meal throughout the night, as not to feel rushed. There were so many fresh fish selections it was hard to pick. We began our... More
