For this much money-- you expect attentive service and a manager in sight. The steak was good, the shrimp was average. No restaurant at the Cheeca has good service in my view

In short: lovely views of the sea but disappointing breakfast. Potatoes were luke warm and service was average. We are staying at the hotel but will look elsewhere for breakfast.

The food and menu are ok. We had the breakfast buffet a couple of mornings and for the price I would have expected more options.

Only rated Average given composite of weak menu selection & server's relative inexperience, and of course very high prices, offsetting a very nice place/setting. Braised short ribs were good, not awesome. Server while pleasant enough, not conversant with gluten-free, nor could not handle omitting beets from one of the salads. Just underwhelming given high hopes for legendary Cheeca Lodge.

Recently stayed on Islamorada for a week to attend a destination wedding. Three couples making decisions on where to eat each evening. Had heard great things about the outdoor setting and tiki bar area at Atlantic's Edge at the Cheeca Lodge. First, may I say the setting is astounding. We felt as if we were in Hawaii, Tahiti, etc. Gorgeous... More

We were staying in the hotel and usually I'm wary of hotel restaurants but I did some research on here and it is very good indeed. We had the catch of the day which was a Red Grouper, it was fantastic as was the buttery very French mash potato, the chef can definitely cook. Great service, wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

Except for the whole red fish the quality of the food was sub-par and very expensive. Would not recommend it./

The food was good, but not great and the menu was limited with some of the menu items such as oysters and mahi unavailable. The restaurant was understaffed.

My husband and I had been wanting to try this restaurant. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the water. I ordered the braised short ribs which was served over mashed potatoes. Delicious. As a person who doesn't eat this type of starchy vegetable it would of been nice to be able to have a vegetable instead. The... More
