Great seafood and healthy eating

We went twice during our week long stay in Kissimmee. Our waitress each time was Piper and her level of knowledge and professional expertise about the different dishes was excellent so was her level of service. What I really liked was the lack of too much fat, cheese and other unhealthy items on the menu. We like healthy eating and while we did not eat everything (portion size) we really enjoyed the food. The mussels and crab cakes starters are excellent and my husband enjoyed the calami. The trout, the skewered prawn and scallops was also excellent. There was a wide range of diners from older people to families with young children. The service was excellent from all the staff and we greatly appreciated removing the music from the outside eating area when we arrived for an early dinner so that my husband who has a hearing issue could enjoy the food and conversation.

Steak was awful, dry, hard and no flavor.

Our waitress was excellent hat that I didn't get her name. However I ordered 7oz Sirloin with delicious coleslaw and crab cake was ok, delicious mashed potatoes but it did need gravy. The steak was, dry, hard and had no flavor. I fill like they just slapped it on the grill and forgot about it. It was not medium rare. It was not juicy, and it had not flavor. I have all my teeth but one. I could not chew it. I did not eat it. I did not complain because our waitress was the best. Small petite sweet young lady with a northern accent. We tipped her well. Please that steak was awful, and it was not 7 oz more like 5oz.

Enjoyable evening

This was our first visit after having driven past a couple of their restaurants many times. We booked online and our table was ready for our on time arrival. The restaurant was large inside with tables in the main dining area as well in the bar. The tables looked quite close together as we sat down but we didn’t feel close to our neighbours during the meal. The menu is already pretty large and you get some daily specials too. We soon made our selections for food and drink but strangely our server only wanted to take our appetiser order. Bread and oil arrived quickly, drinks very slowly and we had to insist to give the server our entree order as he was giving us our appetisers. Our appetisers were great - bang bang shrimp which was plentiful and the sauce was great. My wife had the crab cakes and they were full of crab meat and were very tasty. For our main course I had the daily special of butterfish with mashed potatoes and broccoli and my wife the cod, fries and claw. The fish on both plates was cooked really well and so together with the sides we really enjoyed the dishes. We didn’t take desserts as were full. An enjoyable evening with tasty food, slightly indifferent service and a sensible bill for the food we had eaten.

Disappointed

We ate here two times in the month so far. We sat at the bar both times to avoid a wait for a table. Service was between slow and terrible. One-two bartenders to make drinks for all the servers then try to cover the bar. We like the ahi tuna wonton crisps but not much else. The cod we had was thin sliced with skin on and mine was not cooked quite enough. Not good experience either time.

Poor service

We love Bonefish but this was the worst experience we have had with Bonefish. We sat for 6 minutes before being acknowledged. We then ordered our beverage, it took a while to get our drinks, then they normally bring bread. We ordered our food, our salads came, then our meal and we still had no bread. We asked for bread and was told the server would be right back with it. We waited and waited and was almost completely done eating before getting bread. The server was not attentive to us at 4 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. There were about 5 tables in the entire restaurant. Our food was great, we love the Salmon. I get the Pan Asian sauce and my mom gets the mango salsa. We love the bang bang shrimp and love the Hooked on Tuesday's specials they had before Covid. They no longer offer that. They took the green beans off the menu saying it's a seasonal thing. Green beans are good all year around. We love the green beans. The choice for veggies is not great. They have like Broccoli. No baked potato, just garlic mash which I love. They used to have spinach as a side, but now have made it a creamed spinach and it is a premium side to where you have to pay more for it. For spinach it costs more. Why? it is cheaper than broccoli. We were not impressed at this Bonefish in Florida.

Bad experience

Went to Bonefish at 7801 Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway Kissimmee, FL 34747 for dinner with my wife. Just had mains (fish & chips + imperial cod). Imperial cod was way under cooked (raw in middle). Meal was taken away and replaced (eventually after my wife had eaten her meal) with v small piece of fish - this time the broccoli was too al dente (raw). Told manager would come and check everything was ok second time around, but they were a no show. Nothing was comped. Probably should have made a fuss, but didn’t want to detract from what had been an enjoyable day for us. I’ve been to a number of Bonefish restaurants and had average to good experiences; however, we will not be going back after this one.

Pleasantly surprised it was not more expensive

The place is very nice and you kind of expect the prices will match, but they didn't, you can find plenty of entrees around the $20 price point. So then you start thinking that if the prices are low then the food must not be very good. But that was not the case either, we enjoyed our meals. My linguine with clam sauce was not the best I ever had, but it was pretty good. Would definitely go back.

Disastrous Valentines

We had Valentines dinner at the Bonefish Grill in Kissimmee. This was perhaps my worst experience dinning at a restaurant. It was a litany of mistakes that made the meal and the experience so bad. I ordered a gin and tonic, this was brought to the table as straight gin, no tonic. When I asked where the tonic was I was told they don't bring the tonic unless specifically asked for. Funny I asked for a gin and tonic, what was missing in that?? We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp with the sauce on the side as my wife loves the Shrimp but not the spice in the sauce. Guess what, the appetizer came with the sauce on It. back it went. The server never once appeared at the table to let us know what was happening with our order during our 50 minute wait. Three of us ordered the Filet And Scallop special, each with their own sides, well after waiting for the mains to show up, the orders were completely messed up. Wrong sides with each dish we had ordered each of the filets cooked to a different level of doneness. I like my steaks blue and none of the filets was done to that level. The other diners had to cut into each steak to figure out how their steaks were cooked, then exchange the sides to match their orders. The server did offer to redo them, but after already having waited that long for our food the prospect of waiting another 50 minutes was not an option. If this had not been Valentines and being their with friends we would have got up and walked out. The server never once offered any recompense for the disastrous meal And barely apologized. I have dined at other Bonefish Grill's and they have been good, that is why this was So Disappointing. At this juncture I would not consider dining at another one. FYI, I have posted this review on Bonefish Grills website and have yet to receive a reply.

Very disappointed

We ate there this week with friends and were so disappointed at this Bone Fish Grill’s quality and service. My husband ordered the clams and sent them back as they tasted so bad and he always orders clams when we go out to seafood restaurants. He said it was like the chef tried too hard but didn’t know what he was doing. He ate the corn and shrimp chowder but said it was seasoned poorly. I ordered the ‘Butter fish’ and it was flavorless and slimy and had a strong fish taste - not good but I was embarrassed to send it back. It was not fresh caught even though the waitress said it was. We eat at the Lakeland Bone Fish Grill and have always been happy with the quality and service- never disappointed with the Lakeland one. The ‘manager’ did not charge for my husband’s dish and replaced it with a dessert ( a small sliver of cheesecake). We would not recommend this particular Bone Fish Grill

Great food and the friendliest service

I am visiting the area for a conference and came here the first night and sat at the bar. The bartender Chris was very helpful in making suggestions. My blackened salmon with mango salsa and butternut squash ravioli were delicious! I was so impressed with the friendly staff from the hosts to the bartender and the food being excellent that I came back again. This time I just ordered a salad and the butternut squash ravioli again because it was so good and the hostesses remembered me and found me a quiet place to sit and read while I ate. My server Sierra was so friendly and sweet. Honestly, I do not remember eating anywhere where the staff were so friendly and nice. Incredibly pleasant experience.

The choice and description of dishes is excellent and we found it difficult to choose! Our server Lysette was cheerful, friendly and knew the menu and the wine. She was so good. We had Ahi tuna poke as a starter which was delicious, lots of flavour. We then had Scallops and Shrimp skewer with whipped potatoes and veg, was perfectly cooked, other main was the special of makers mark bourbon glazed salmon, fabulous flavour and again salmon cooked just right. A shared drunken coconut pie ended a lovely evening. Oh and the Smoked Old Fashioned was yummy as well as the Pineapple martini. A lovely place to dine with a calm warm atmosphere and a friendly staff. Would not hesitate to go back.

So Disappointed

This is our second visit in about three months. Honestly we went this time because I received a gift card. Otherwise we would not have gone. Sadly this visit only confirmed the disappointment from the first visit. Bonefish used to have a line out the door and was a treat to eat there. Now, the food is mediocre at best. The salad was half wilted, bang bang shrimp were the most edible of our meal. The plate set before each of us was unappetizing, The dishes looked as if they were heated in a microwave then put under a heat lamp, dry and unappealing. The food tasted as bad as it looked. No flavor, dry and like chewing cud. Our server was friendly. That’s about the only good thing I can say about Bonefish.

Great place for seafood!

Came here for an early dinner, so we decided to sample some items of their shareable and apps sections rather than get full entrees. Friendly service and attentive and nice waiter. Arrived during happy hour, so had a margarita, but a little pricey for a “happy hour” drink. Food was very good! Had the tuna poke, calamari, bang bang shrimp, crab cakes and mussels. The best of them was the mussels and tuna poke. The others were just OK. Potions were somewhat smaller than I would have hoped for. All in all, it was a good experience. Will return to this location and others in the chain.

Always high quality, for years

A very quality restaurant, above the general level of local restaurants. We return there each time we stay and it is invariably very good. This time we had bang bang shrimp, tuna tempura as a starter, and a tuna bowl and lobster tails as a main course. The accompanying wine was also very good (available by the glass). Nothing to complain about, it's invariably delicious. Friendly and fast service (lunch)
