We ate dinner at The Floridian on our first night in St. Augustine. There was a short wait for a table at 7:30 on a Friday night but we were able to get a drink at the upstairs bar. Very nice beer and wine selections! Our table was ready in about 15 minutes. The food was terrific! We had the... More

We ate at the Floridian twice -- once we were seated outside and had one of the best meals during our extended stay in St. Augustine. Therefore when family came to visit we suggested going back. This time we were seated inside. It was so loud we could barely carry on a conversation without yelling -- plates clanking, chairs clodding,... More

Sat on the porch and had phenomenal salads. The inventiveness of the chefs here is truly inspiring. Plus, the service is top notch. It gets really crowded so come early...it's worth it!

We had their riff on a Gimlet and a Santa Monica. Both were outstandingly delicious and highly recommended. We had gone there, not for the drinks but for the well-sourced food ingredients and options for non-meat eating folk (my gf). I had a steak salad ($25, I think) and although the salad was OK, the steak strips were stunningly flavorless... More

Though quite busy during the Christmas season, we two couples managed to be seated right away in the upstairs of this quaint old house for a holiday dinner. The restaurant itself has great character and the service was superb. Contrary to another review, we never felt rushed, but the upstairs was definitely slower paced than the busier downstairs areas. Offerings... More

We finally found the new location on Spanish St. The new restaurant is larger and yet still quaint. The food is organic and carefully prepared. I had shrimp and grits (prepared as a polenta-type triangle) -- it was DELICIOUS. My husband said his shrimp po boy was good -- but too much bread compared to filling. The sauvignon blanc and... While visiting St. Augustine over the holidays, we heard that the Floridian had moved and wanted to give it a try. I like the new location better than the old one. However, perhaps it was because of the busy holiday season, we felt rushed the entire time we were there. The server insisted on taking our dinner orders before getting... More

Wow! It took a recommendation from a friend to entice me to try this place and holy-cow, it did not disappoint. Tucked away downtown St. Augustine, The Floridian is a casual/beachy themed restaurant that surprises you with elevated, gourmet food and drinks. I definitely recommend the gimlet and they have a surprisingly good selection of wines too. Their menu is... More

Went here for New Years Eve dinner and we were in awe at the amazing deliciousness of the entire meal! The ambiance was great and the food is local, homemade and gourmet! Every dish is bursting with flavor! We'll definitely return and highly recommend!
